Brothers of Mercy

I cannot speak highly enough about The Brother’s of Mercy nursing home and organization. I have been impressed by the responsiveness and empathy shown at every level of service. However since this website is for feedback regarding "visits" I will limit my compliments to just my visits. However, the nurses, certified nursing assistants, physical therapy, social workers, etc. are all equally amazing. I have heard staff greet a patient as "mom', or by a nickname, by reminding them when BINGO starts, or by telling a joke.
But in regards to visitations, before you enter the sliding glass doors, you are assured of the safety of your loved ones when instructed to mask-up and follow COVID-19 protocol and precautions. Then, the minute you enter the building there is always a smiling, efficient, and welcoming person at the front desk to greet you and make sure your loved one is brought down to visit and is made aware of your arrival! The next Brother’s of Mercy staff members to greet visitors are all part of the amazing “ACTIVITIES” Department directed by Julie Kaczmarczyk. Julie is aware of the overwhelming need for loved ones to visit and is entertaining, encouraging, caring, and empathetic to both patients and visitors. Her staff consists of amazing people (which I will not name because I might forget a name and then feel terrible). In addition, the volunteers are equally devoted to serving Brother’s of Mercy and giving freely of their own time and energy to make being at Brother’s a joy. I apologize in advance for not mentioning all the other members of the Brother’s community by name however I have a special place in my heart for everything that everyone has done to make Eleanor Marinaccio (and all the patients) at home at Brother’s of Mercy.
