“Great campsite. We stayed in Lakeview, this view is phenomenal. While the steps to this cabin can be a bit much at times, I wouldn't trade it for anything”

“My wife went from a 0 to a 100% in under 2 hours. We saw a massive improvement in her skills in a very short amount of time and we really appreciate it. On top of that he also worked on her compound bow and it looks like a totally new piece of equipment now. Thank you very much.”

“My family and I had a fantastic time rafting! There were higher water levels than usual, but nonetheless we had fun. They closed off the second half of the river, since it was too dangerous, but we were accommodated with another ride of the first half and delicious cookies paired with cool water. Three out of eight of us fell out but were safely rescued. I loved every bit and would recommend for anyone wanting an adventure. Scary Larry was the best and very accommodating: We had a few non-English speakers. We will be back for more!”

“I've found Aubertine and Courier to be the best survey company in the Jefferson County area. Ive had very good experiences with them answering questions readily- most recently I had a question about an adjacent plot and they fielded the question free of charge; I spoke with an actual surveyor not an administrative assistant and it took several precious minutes and saved me from obtaining a full paid survey. I have used A&C PLC before and the rates were fair, the job done propltly and professionally, and provided the documents I needed with dith detailed explanations. I highly recommend them, but be advised they may not be able to take on new work because it's June as I write this, and they are at capacity for work through the summer at least. Thanks Aubertine and Currier! I recommend them whole heartedly.”

“Definitely a small zoo, but still an interesting place to see some native animals up close. I was glad to see that there wasn't anything too exotic, from an animal welfare standpoint, especially considering the harsh winters in this area. Nice place to walk around with my 6 yr old and fun to read about the animals, especially the stories of how they came to the zoo, like Pandora's comical story we laughed about! We also recently saw a wild barred owl and we love to go to Tug Hill in the evenings and call to them. We hear them so often that it was cool to see one much closer up, given all we have learned of them. Only thing I think definitely needs attention is the tanks inside! They were full of algae and a couple dead fish (pictured). The turtle was a kind I've never seen or heard of before, so it was cool to see that and learn how common they actually are. But someone really needs to be keeping up with tank maintenance!”

“Great spot for a retreat away from the hustle of the real world. Our family takes a yearly trip up to the 1000 Islands area and we are so happy to have found Angel Rock. We have spent the past few years in a rental home, however next year we are renting cottages closer to the water with less stairs. The docks are a bit harder to get to for the older folks as there are a lot of stairs. The staff is always friendly and attentive to any issues we have had. Which have been minimal. The pool is a nice feature for us as well. There are only a few fire pits, which is no big deal to us as we are typically there during a less busy time. We really enjoy this place and look forward to spending more time on the St Lawrence at Angel Rock!”

“David and Justin were great guides! My family throughly enjoyed the trip. Incredible adventure! We have previously went white water rafting on another river with another company. This experience was much better. If you go on this adventure, ask to do the three additional things. 1. Surf the rapid. We did it twice. It was a lot of fun. I didn’t know you could do that with a raft. 2. Riding the bull. That was new for us too. Our kids sat in the front of the raft as it went through a rapid. It was a great experience for them! I put a picture of them riding the bull below. So cool!!! 3. Swam through rapids. It is not really a rapid; just where the river narrow with solid current. Buy the pictures after the trip. Easy download via Dropbox. We rented an entire raft for our family of 4. We enjoyed the adventure!!! Go for it!”

“This was the first time to visit the area coming from the south US and going into Canada. Getting the tickets was quick but a bit complicated on which one to get. The girl at the window was good to help us out understand the differences. The boat ride was quick and smooth. The island itself was gorgeous. My family and I spent 1 hour there and it was too short. You can spend the entire day until 5 or so for the same price. The building are gorgeous and the history very interesting. I definitely recommend doing this and spend more than just one hour here.”

“I have not visited since I was probably 5-6 years old but it was still just as I remembered!! I like the fact it’s a smaller museum because it’s not crowded with people and everything is very hands-on. Was a good time for this kid at heart :’)”
