“We serve this small school for last few years in the row. Great experience. Kids pose like a real models, always happy and keep smiles on their faces like grownups. Well organized picture day, teachers always there to help you, ready to do whatever it takes so parents can get a great pictures for their kids.”

“I have two kids going to this school and it’s the best decision I’ve made .. very structured environment, well mannered and discipline, discipline begins at home but continues at this school and I personally like that..I can see a big difference in my children education they’re advance ..the kids have long days Monday to Thursday but it worthwhile.. if there’s any problem the teachers reach out to discuss what’s going on with your child. During the Corona pandemic I can say they’re great, very structured, well planned with the method they use in remote learning, They also take the time to reach out to their students.. overall I’m giving LEADERSHIPS PREP Canarsie ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ? ?”

“I completely disagree with Naomi's post. This is a GREAT school! I have said numerous times if i had went to any other high school, i probably would not have graduated on time. If i started to fall off in classes or head in the direction of trouble, Ms.Schaffer, Ms.Michelena, Ms.Schneider and/or any of the other staff members, would pull me to the side and let me know i was doing wrong. They were more than happy to keep me on track, and I received more than extra help from teachers when i needed it. All of the school's staff was available to all students to talk to, or just listen. Ms.Schaeffer and Ms.Schneider ( who is no longer there ) especially. We were very close being that we were a small school. Yes of course we ( and i speak for multiple students ) joked and played around with the staff, but NEVER on a level of inappropriate sayings or behavior. We respected one another as adults and students. If staff members moved on from the school it was for their personal reasons. The school should not be held accountable for a money hungry teacher's actions, for a lawsuit. I've always had trouble with Global and U.S history, until i met Ms.Gentile. She taught me everything i needed to know, no matter how long it took. She went home and prepared practice exams for us to take in class, and anything else she could think of to help us. I passed my Global Regents with a 74 and U.S History regents with an 86 thanks to Ms.Gentile. This may be a school but the staff provides more than just education. Students who will remain nameless, have been provided with food, and/or clothes on their back by the school. There have been a time when the school provided finances for students to attend the senior trip who's parent(s) could not afford it. Ms. Michelena and Ms.Schaeffer makes sure EVERYONE is cared for. What people who are not in Ms. Michelena's shoes have to realize is, she has a school to run. Its not an easy job but from the outside looking in people don"t take that into consideration. From my experience being at The High School For Innovation In Advertising And Media, lets just say i'd do it all over again with no hesitation.”

“I recommend Little Einstein of Canarsie 100% ... If one has the privilege to have their little one accepted there, he or she wont be sorry. Because it is the BEST space is limited... there are at least two teachers in each classroom and sometimes more for the smaller children. My son went in with a diaper on barely able to walk, came out potty trained and reading better than some adults i know at just 4 years old. The teachers, director, and owner will protect your children with their life...take it from the most paranoid and careful mother...Placing my little one at Little Einstein was one of my wisest choices and it should be yours too!”

“I read about this place in a book. Found out that they have free open kayak trips in the summer, so my wife and I got up early one Saturday and joined one. That first paddle out onto Jamaica Bay blew me away. I never would have thought something like that existed in the New York City limits. We joined the club a month later and have been a regular active members ever since. We joined so we could get out there when ever we wanted and the dues include use of the excellent club boats and a cabin in Harriman State Park. There is a small fee to use the cabin, but a very good and inexpensive way to get out of the city. They are a very active club. Kayak, canoe, sailing, rowing, racing and other activities. They even have winter activities like kayak instruction at a swimming pool, sailing classes, hikes, presentations and even winter kayak and sailing trips for those that have the expensive winter gear. They cost more than most small boat clubs, but they are more active and membership includes the use of club equipment, which offsets the dues. If you use the club for more than a few times a year, it is worth the money. The boat storage rates are less expensive than other area clubs for those that have their own equipment. They are a cost effective way to escape the city and a great source of recreation. The dues are very reasonable for what you get. I guess I am biased since I've been a member for several years:-)”
