“I love the Sunday brunch! It’s such a lovely experience! I highly recommend reserving a window seat ~ the brunch comes with two choices one with more meat option basically. We added une, Salmon roe and onsen egg to our meal. I loved how fresh all the food was and it’s just a nice cozy place for a date. Everything on the plate is just so pretty to be honest. Space is limited to you don’t feel overwhelmed with a crowd but definitely book ahead !”

Kennedys Fried Chicken

Address: 9004 Avenue B, Brooklyn, NY 11236, USA

Restaurant

“A delightful experience. From first glance I thought that the service and the food was just gonna be okay. It turned it to be great! The chicken and fries were so good and reminded of how great it is to be in a place like New York. The staff was very polite to me and I was enjoying the tastes of the food so much! This was a tasty experience, definitely my favorite thing to order is the gyro. Go here if ya got some spare dollars and want some food!”

Tiger Box

Address: 169 Park Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11205, USA

Meal delivery Restaurant

“There’s that saying about some restaurants, “a hole in the wall”, right? That’s usually referring to the appearance of the restaurant, which rarely plays a part in the experience and the food itself (based on my experience, anyway). Tiger Box is totally a hole in the wall. It’s small, not fancy at all, not a bunch of hype and frills, but the experience….man, the experience. I arrived to be welcomed by the owner, Sy (spellcheck, please). She.is.phenomenal. We chatted for a bit before I ordered. There’s no seating inside, so I went outside to sit and wait for my food. I had no idea what I was in store for. I tried several different dishes. The spicy pork bowl being one of them. Rice and pork, marinated in gochujang, ginger and other flavorful components, really got me in my feelings almost instantly. You taste the warmth, and the experience, and the love right away. I also tried the kimchi jjigae, which is a hot stew with kimchi, pork, onions, green onions, rice, and more. I’d say this was one of the most special dishes. The kimchi soaking in that stew, the tofu absorbing all of those flavors….ugh. Cooking is an art. This was cooking from a deeply rooted cultural background. The history was in every bite. I also tried the spicy pork ssam wraps, which were delightful. More of that yummy spicy pork, but with the freshness of the lettuce. Such a bright, Spring-y dish! The seafood scallion pancakes were one of my faves! Savory pancakes, packed with flavor, and seafood! I also tried the steamed meat kimchi mandu, which appear as dumplings, but owner Sy says, “no, it’s mandu”. And listen, I wasn’t about to argue with her! She KNOWS, ok?! The mandu was divine. They were stuffed with kimchi and pork. After speaking with Sy, I have so much more of an appreciation for kimchi. She says the process is tedious, that it takes time. The more steps you add to your kimchi, the better it tastes. The more flavor you develop. She says it’s a lot of work, but that she doesn’t regret it. The kimchi is a top seller because it’s served in so many dishes. Sy is special. She really does love running Tiger Box. That is inspiring and you can taste her love in the food. This is homestyle authentic Korean cuisine, and I am still blown away by it all. I cannot wait to get back! Please, please do yourself a favor and visit Tiger Box in Brooklyn.”

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

“This Popeyes has a lot of competition around every corner. Chicken places all down the block. I don’t know why they would open one here. My meal wasn’t bad. It was ok. I was in and out in less then 5 mins”

Best Pizza

Address: 33 Havemeyer St, Brooklyn, NY 11211, USA

Restaurant

“Born and raised in New York , pizza is the most important thing when it comes to staple foods . Living my whole life in Brooklyn is always a debate who has the best pizza , many recommend this place so wanted to see for myself what’s the big hype. When I walked in it look like a typical Pizza joint, I got the opportunity to speak to Brian and he gave us a small tour and explanation of this establishment. How the oven is over 120 years old , how they use Oak to make the fire and they prepare mozzarella in-house and how many hours it takes for the onions to cook (I believe he said six , I could be wrong) Also got the opportunity to meet the owner super friendly down to earth humble man. The vibe is amazing feels very Brooklyn. Customer service five stars I had the opportunity to order regular Pizza pie ,grandma and the white pizza everything was amazing . Thin crust very delicious . Hands-down top 5 Pizza places I have ever tried. Also had a arugula salad very good. I highly recommend to visit this spot . Just sit enjoy every bite.”

Empanada City

Address: 48 Cypress Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11237, USA

Cafe Restaurant Store

“My favorite empanada was the Americana. I can’t wait to go back and buy more. I bought chicken, beef and sweet plantain with cheese as well. I also tried the mango smoothie and the frozen piña colada. If I were to choose one, I would order the frozen piña colada again. I tried all three sauces and those are really good too. What’s cool about the empanadas is that they are marked with its flavor. So if you bought chicken, it would say (PC) for plain chicken on the side of empanada or (B) for ground beef. Don’t miss out on the Americana, definitely add it to your order.”

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot

Address: 430 Albee Square W, Brooklyn, NY 11201, USA

“Smoky atmosphere. Came out reeking of BBQ. But oh! THE FOOD!!!! Carnivores must show up. Not for the faint hearted. Tables can do both Korean BBQ and Chinese Hot Pot for $5 extra per person in the party. Can accommodate large parties but come early - there can be a long wait. Lack of parking nearby, but can be accessible via public transportation in Downtown Brooklyn (and not Flushing or 33rd Street!!!)”

“I just happened to be in this corner of Brooklyn for a customer meeting and had a hankering for some Caribbean food. This place exceeded my expectations. The food was excellent! Curry goat was flavorful and spicy, rice and peas perfect, plantains amazing and the pickled cabbage wonderful. Excellent price point for no frills take-out. Staff was warm and friendly with the Caribbean hospitality I would expect. This is definitely a new favorite when I pass through the neighborhood.”

Little House Restoran

Address: 2012 86th St, Brooklyn, NY 11214, USA

Restaurant

“One of the better Malaysian food restaurants I’ve tried. This place serves as a great lunch spot. I went on a Sunday afternoon with a party of five and there was surprisingly only one person there. It’s a decent-sized place that can fit around 5-10 parties without feeling too packed. We got two appetizers to start: the Curry Puffs (comes in 3 pcs) & the Satay Tofu (comes in 6 pcs). I thought the Curry Puffs here were one of the best ones I’ve tried since the outer puff itself wasn’t too thick or crunchy and was more on the soft side. The curry filling was also perfect to match the puff. I rarely come across a curry puff that suits my tastebuds so this was a pleasant surprise. The Satay Tofu was also good with the tofu being a good size for bites. The Satay was as I’d like for this, but I do wish the flavor was more seeped into the tofu. I think they just laid the sauce on top so there wasn’t much flavor on the inside of the tofu itself. For our main dishes, we got the Hokkien Mee (my typical go-to), Claypot Fish Curry and the Salted Egg Prawn Chow Fun. The Hokkien Mee was solid so would recommend. I’ve never gotten the Claypot Fish Curry anywhere before, but my friend wanted to try and I’d say it was a good choice. The curry was good, but the fish fillet did taste a bit fake due to the outer coating on it. I think it might’ve been better without it. I do not recommend getting the Salted Egg Prawn Chow Fun thought cause it’s rather basic and as it says. It’s just some slightly salted egg flavored prawns on top of chow fun. I guess it’s good that it’s as it says, but it didn’t add much value to our meal. I think due to the prawns being slightly saltier, we felt the chow fun had no taste. Overall, would recommend this place for anyone wanting to try Malaysian food around the area. Price is also fairly cheap and on the lower end compared to other restaurants in general.”

Royal Garden Tbilisi

Address: 230 Kings Hwy, Brooklyn, NY 11223, USA

Restaurant

“My Lovely wife "Nanuli Bortsvadze Florer" is from Tbilisi. I went to Tbilisi in 2019 and truly fell in love with the country, food, and people. Steak was my favorite meal, but when Nanuli introduce me to Khinkali, my mouth exploded with a new spectacular taste in which I never experienced before. Now, Khinkali is my favorite meal of all. We went to the Royal Gardens Tbilisi in New York with some dear friends, and we truly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The food was amazingly awesome, and the restaurant staff was awesome as well. I am so looking forward to my next visit to New York and heading back to the Royal Gardens Tbilisi restaurant. FYI, they don't sell alcohol, but you can bring your own bottle. Our dear friend Irena brought this bottle for us to drink, and it was made by a good friend of the family in Tbilisi. It was very good. Thank you so very much Irena!”

Steph's Cake Shop

Address: 1392 Rockaway Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11236, USA

Bakery Store Restaurant

“Steph is a beautiful soul. Typical to go to a Caribbean establishment and feel like you're begging for something with the attitude of the people... But everyone here is tremendously warm and friendly. I usually get bread and pastry and have recommended everyone to come here. Had a small birthday party for my friend so I Ordered a 12 inch pineapple and butter cream filling cake.... And finally, I know I don't have to go hunting for the perfect cake anymore! Taste was supreme, moist and well crafted! I wanted it plain because we had cake toppers and candles but she can definitely add whatever you want. This is my cake shop. Already, 4 persons from the party are asking where I got the cake. It was really that good. Price was only $50. Highly recommend!”

773 Lounge

Night club Restaurant

“Fun place to be! Great vibe. People are friendly and will start a conversation with you. Lots of events like live bands or trivia. No cover. Staff is very attentive. If a seat is important to you, get one 15 to 30 minutes before an event. Else you're unlikely to get one. Prices are good for the area. Seen two bands here and they're quite good! They also have dart boards. Lots of tvs tuned to different sports events. Cons: one single person bathroom and the food is OK. Gastropub it is not. Looking forward to coming back!”

Buckley's

Address: 2926 Ave. S, Brooklyn, NY 11229, USA

Restaurant

“Very shocking to never have know such a restaurant existed in my area. You would normally find these places in Manhattan. But as always: decided to try a random spot with my wife and a few friends based on menu we read online. Conveniently located in Brooklyn in a nice neighborhood. Waitress we had was friendly. We placed reservations in advance. Had to change reservation which the staff had no issues doing. Nice quiet atmosphere but still enjoyable with friends. And the food was great. Definitely must try the Potato Gratin and steak. Will try this place again.”
