“I am a huge fan of art and the owner of the gallery is one of our frequent visitors. So, after Lady Qwenolee told me about "Kazuko Miyamoto," a well-known Japanese contemporary artist, I too paid my respects and went to the art gallery with my girlfriend. Every piece was distinctive, and it surprised me that some of Kazuko's artwork was created and shown there. The NEW YORK Kazuko Miyamoto Works 1964–1980, September 7–October 25, 2017, titled: Male I and Female, was a display of Kazuko art that Qwen did show us. You can really tell how enthusiastic and passionate she is about her galleries and the arts. Pretty can answer any question and know the history really well for all of her pieces.”

“Came for Sunday bar trivia as a group of friends in our late 20s (attended during the back to college weekend). Had really good cozy craft beer bar energy. Trivia/bar crowd was fun, not too rowdy. Craft beers had tons of variety, the sours were particularly delicious. Bar also had sangria and ciders as options (no hard alcohol). Prizes for trivia were first and also second place - $30 gift card to the bar and a flight of beers respectively. Overall, great time, great beer. Didn't get any food”

“Park is incredibly smaller now due to the construction to make it safer during storms. Construction has been moving along slowly but moving forward nonetheless. Excited to see the end result. Small grass areas are open, and great events are still being held in the park for the community.”

“We signed up for private dance lessons with Arthur Murray to choreograph a first dance for our wedding, as well as learn basic dance moves so we'd feel more natural on the dance floor on our big day. We mostly worked with Lexi in the private lessons, although we also took a few lessons with Crystal. Our package of private lessons came with unlimited group lessons, so we tried to take at least one group class a week - those were mostly taught by Ricardo. Everyone at Arthur Murray was fantastic and welcoming! As soon as we walked in the door, they were excited to see us and very encouraging. We never felt like our poor foot-eye coordination was being judged by any of the teachers. We learned how to waltz, tango, foxtrot, rumba, salsa, cha cha, as well as a few other dances, and learned how to know what type of dance to do with current music. Lexi was especially amazing - when we told her we liked two songs for our first dance she edited them together and choreographed our dance to work with the transition. Our first dance (and wedding) went great! We would definitely recommend Lexi and the whole Arthur Murray crew to anyone else hoping to learn how to dance for their wedding. “Instinct has been truly amazing for my pup Hendricks and me! For background, Hendricks is a 1 year old rescue. When I first adopted him in August 2023, he was high energy, very reactive towards other dogs, sensitive to loud noises and would react with very loud barks, and just in general had a hard time settling down. I researched a lot online and started training him on my own, but decided it would be beneficial to seek professional help, specifically from those that used positive training and would train him in NYC. I started with 3 at-home classes with Mari, who really helped teach me the basics and prioritize what to work on with Hendricks. Then, I signed him up for two camps that coincided with my travel plans over Thanksgiving and Christmas. He stayed at the East Harlem facility for 2 weeks in November, then was back with me for a couple weeks, then back at Instinct for 3 weeks across Dec-Jan. There, he worked directly with Oyuki to help learn settling skills, loose leash walking, navigating around other dogs and dealing with his reactivity, and more (Recall, Drop, etc.) While he was at camp, Oyuki and the canine care team all sent frequent updates, along with pictures and videos to show me how he was doing and what he was learning. He clearly had a blast there and loved playing in the big backyard and running around with other pups who were specifically selected to match with his needs. From a training perspective, Oyuki was very responsive to my many questions and very helpfully showed and taught me what I would need to do. The videos were also especially helpful for me to see how to continue to train Hendricks, once he transitioned back home to my care. The camp also came with a mid-camp in-facility lesson, as well as ones at the end when I came to take Hendricks home, and it was great to be able to talk with Oyuki and see in person how she handled certain situations with Hendricks. It was also so sweet to see the bond that they built up with each other! Hendricks absolutely fell in love with Oyuki, and he’s learned so much from her! He’s calmed down significantly and can now settle on his own comfortably without me having to guide him. His reactivity has also improved tremendously, and he can now mostly walk neutrally by other dogs. Of course, he’ll always stay a reactive dog, but he’s learning to deal with it, and I have much better control over it as well. He’s better with impulse control, and can take time to think and listen before he acts. His basic cues are also much improved and more consistent. And personally for me, I feel like a better, smarter dog owner and much more confident in my own ability to train him too. All in all, I cannot recommend Instinct enough. From the start with in-home lessons to his camps to all the follow-up afterwards, it’s so clear that each and every one of Instinct’s team members care so much for Hendricks and also do their best to help me learn as much as I can. Thank you so much to everyone at Instinct for all that you do - Hendricks and I are forever grateful!!!”

“I got a special comp-ticket for a Friday 8pm show at S.U.NY. It was worth it for a nice evening of comedy. The drinks weren't as pricey as some other venues. The comedian line-up was small but good overall because they had to make room for the headliner Mr. Rick Vos. The space is relatively small compared to other comedy venues still it had a good enough space for the crowd. And the basement lavatories decent & clean (though it may need better labeling for them) I've been going to Stand Up NY for about 2 years & have always had a good experience. Thanks.”
