“CASH ONLY. El Jalapeño is a large food truck parked on the corner of West 4th & Grove Street. a three-man crew serves up a variety of Mexican comfort foods: tacos, nachos, burritos, and more. the prices are super reasonable and the food is consistently very good. open day to late night, you cannot go wrong. most recently, i ordered a spicy pork burrito and it did not disappoint. burritos are made to order and the ingredients taste super fresh--and you can actually taste each ingredient. the spicy pork burrito was really tasty and packed with flavors--layers of pork, rice, beans, crema. lettuce, pico de gallo, lettuce and more wrapped in a tortilla. so much savoriness packed into one dish. the pork actually isn't too spicy, so definitely opt for the hot sauce as well as the salsa verde. the burrito is filling but not gigantic. spicy pork burrito -- $8 + tip. the staff is friendly and put effort into making sure the food is up to snuff.”

“Such a wonderful and well appointed book store specializing in original French books and French books translated to English. I love their Nouveautés selections, and the children’s selection, which is in a breathtakingly beautiful room upstairs. It has all the classic French books for kids and parents are looking for. The graphic novel selection is superb. Merci!”

“Yes its crowded but what do you expect for a gym this price in the EV? I go in the afternoon and can usually find something to use and most of the stuff I want to use becomes available at some point. What I do commend is the staff who are constantly cleaning and putting weights and equipment back (which they wouldn't have to do if people did it ;-) ). This means its always clean and tidy when I use it. They're always friendly as well. Members who workout there also pretty respectful. Everyone is just getting on with their thing rather than using it as a social space which helps with a gym this size.”

“Dr. Alla Savransky was recommended to me by my former primary doctor, Mary H. Efremov, who recently passed away. She was a marvelous individual as well as being a great doctor. Dr. Savransky told me that she was her mentor in a conversation we had last week. In the short time that I have known Dr. Savransky she already has demonstrated she is a good doctor and quite possibly as great as her mentor. I highly recommend her.”

“I feel truly lucky to live near this very special place. The view of the city, the smell of the water + the well maintained yet wild gardens, are completely intoxicating. There's a sense of community here too. A great place to read a book, walk a dog, play a game.”

“My wife and I stayed here for 65 days during the summer of 2018. We took full advantage of the rooftop sports club and lounge, relaxing in the busy city on the 44th floor! We loved the location of the apartment, on the corner with great natural light throughout the day. The living is a great room to lay in, reading, watching movies, or watching the city life through the big windows. We enjoyed the large bedroom closet and my wife took full advantage of the space filling it with new clothes from 5th Ave! Sylvie helped us navigate our first short term lease, answered all our questions patiently and professionally, and returned our security deposit with a thoughtful thank you card. We would recommend this apartment to our friends and family and would stay again without hesitation!”

“I've done several tours with Mark of New York Walking Tours. The last was to a section of Manhattan's Lower East Side, an area I had never been to and didn't even know it existed. We started out with great (and inexpensive) Dim Sum in a real, non-commercial Chinese area. We had a pleasant walk to the east through a surprisingly quiet and peaceful area of lower Manhattan. We got a tour of the historic Eldrige St. Synagogue, built in the 19th century and fairly recently restored. Walked on to the area of the Henry Street Settlement. Mark was knowledgeable about the history of both locations. He is a friendly, down to earth person with lots of knowledge about NYC. Mark is particularly well-versed in the architectural history of New York. Hoping to take his Upper Harlem tour at some point.”

“Excellent customer service and friendly staff. Good drinks and I was surprised that they had a wide range of iced drinks to choose from. Important to note: their egg sandwiches is egg salad. No fried or scrambled eggs are available. If you are dairy-free, this place will NOT work for you but they do have avocado toast. Would come again for a quick iced or hot tea or a snack.”
