“Went for a nice family dinner and was a very pleasant and enjoyable experience! Has a separate dining area away from the bar which is family-friendly. Was decorated nice for Christmas.They have a designated kids menu, which I appreciate! Foodwise, I've never had anything bad from this place! BEST French Onion soup around!! Very flavorful! I've had things in the past, various wraps and sandwiches, appetizers etc.. while grabbing a drink; all consistently good and good portions. Last night,, I had a special; a burger melt with bacon jam and onion, very good. Others had beef on weck and Cajun catfish (pictured). Our waitress was amazing (I think her name was Levi), very kind and attentive! The bartender was also very nice. Dining room was decorated nice for Christmas, which my daughter loved. Overall, great experience, nothing bad to say!”

“We went here for the first time today, and we were very pleased. The chicken wing soup was amazing. I will go back for that alone. But our subs were delicious and fresh and filling. Although a bit pricey, its well worth it. The staff is kind patient and helped with our questions. The place is clean and comfortable. There are tons of yummy baked goods ready to take home and devour. We will be back often....and you should try it. You won't be disappointed. Update!! Please don't go on website for menu prices! I had a bill shock when we picked up our order. Three subs and a package of cookies for 50.00!!!! The prices have gone up alot and my anticipated bill was so much less! But when you look on the website and press order by phone the prices are so much lower. Between 3-4$ more than the website! Beware! And there is an older woman that is very rude to customers! I read some other reviews and have talked about the rudeness. We won't return, what a change from my last review!”

“The red headed pharmacist was on maternity leave from December to May apparently, I am so happy she is back, ask for her whenever you have a problem she always know what to do. And I love their text and automatic refills so convenient! I love that I can pay and sign for my husbands scripts before coming to the pharmacy using the text link it makes it so much faster in and out and I always know what’s ready and the cost - so nice!”

“I was admitted to Elderwood on October 11 for OT and PT after fracturing my right fibula and tibia and breaking my ankle. Two weeks later I am heading home to resume in patient therapy. ALL of the staff at Elderwood from custodians, nurse's aides, social workers, the business office, dieticians, nurses, doctor and OT and PT therapists were outstanding! Having to overcome an injury as I sustained is hard enough, but the absolute commitment, compassion, care and dedication of the staff, made me fight all the harder. Thank you to the staff of the North Wing. Your kindness and concern will always be remembered. To all of the OT and PT staff - thank you for pushing me to be the best version of myself I could be, given the circumstances. The laughter, coffee and conversation made the therapy much more palatable :) I would definitely recommend Elderwood to anyone who requires after surgery, therapy!”

“You know it sounds to me as I read one negative 1 star review after another, they all seem to have the same theme running through them. It all sounds like a case of Paranoid Delusional Victimization. Which is of course a Hallmark of mental illness. So it's really difficult to try to separate the Delusions of Victimization from the Reality of what may or may not have happened. I mean some of the claims that are being made by people are so outrageous, that they're to the extent of impossibility. At any Clinic. That's what leads me to believe that this Delusion of Victimization is what's driving all of this stuff. But of course none of you will agree because you're all caught up directly in the middle of it. Strange 🕶”

“Love this place, loved the third and fourth generation family members that are keeping this institution going (for over 99 years), loved the food, and I love the atmosphere. If your looking for great food that is fresh, look no further. I loved every bite of my pierogis (tried all four types) and the cabbage roll (soft and tender). The pierogis will ruin you for other pierogis, and that’s okay, get ruined. I washed my dinner with a bottle of Tyskie pivo (one of the tasty Polish beers that is carried at this establishment). I cannot wait to come back to dine at this place in the future, thank you for keeping this place going and producing such quality food. Make sure you have cash or your ATM card (an ATM on site) as credit cards are not accepted.”

“LAC is a warm and genuine congregation of believers who love Jesus and preach the gospel on Sunday mornings as well as in their daily lives. I grew up in Lockport Alliance and return home on Holidays to visit family & attend church if home for a weekend. I have lived in many places and attended various churches, and of all churches I still hold the highest regard for LAC. The pastors are kind, compassionate and humble. Above all, everyone is a servant and demonstrates the true meaning of community. If you are broken and hurting within, if you are lost and searching, if you are hopeless, or if you just moved to the area- come to the altar at LAC. And you will find what you need. I also want to touch on the breadth and width of their ministry. My husband and I often are drawn to newer churches, however if we lived within 40 minutes Fromm LAC we would absolutely attend. We are not even in the state anymore. LAC is completely integrated into the community: involved in homeless ministry, children’s ministry, women’s ministry, care-net pregnancy, youth ministry, men’s ministry and many others. For decades they have been serving Lockport, and their impact is great. LAC is a beautiful representation of God’s mission for the church: to serve the poor, the elderly, the widowed, the orphaned and any other marginalized group of people. If you’re looking to serve the community and be on mission with other genuine Christians, LAC is for you! As part of the alliance church denomination, they take seriously the Great Commison. I am proud to have grown up in LAC and proud to see how far they have come.”
