“Park in the 8 designated spaces and then walk down a steep gravel driveway to the nature center. Then a brief but steep and rugged ascent and descent over a Rocky point will bring you to a network of walkways over an extensive freshwater marsh. Besides great birdwatching, there are views to West Point across the Hudson River. Last time, we saw people skydiving onto the campus.”

“Really nice loop to do in late fall when the leaves are down. You get awesome views of the Hudson and the trail is not terribly steep like some of the other in the area. So if you are new to hiking or are going with kids and/or pets this is a great hike to go on. The loop will bring you up to the top of Sugarloaf and then on the way down you can pass by a still running castle. While it is off limits and no trespassing is allowed you can get pretty close using some of the woods roads.”

“I play volleyball in the gym Thursday and Sunday nights. Floors are old-school, narrow plank sprung wood. Very easy on my joints.”

“Outstanding moderately challenging workout. You can pickup the Appalachian Trail on U.S. 9 and Rt. 403 in Garrison N.Y. You can Trek or Hike the loop and head to a couple of marshes where you can listen to the musical performance of frogs' mating call in early April. There are two paths colloquially called Frog Hike & Osborn Loop Hike. I highly recommend this experience with exquisite views of the Hudson River.”
