One of the most human, knowledgeable, and professional endo ever... I had severe pain all over my face after a filling on my upper molar, and my dentist recommended Dr. Chung. Dr. Chung gave me the earliest availability in about a week.
She outperformed all previous endos on my upper molar, even my dentist and arrogant dentist friends were impressed... lol. I wasn't surprised because throughout the procedure, you can see her checking and double checking every step, and really taking her time to perfection. And all with zero pain (except a pinch when she's numbing you). I never saw an endo so thorough and considerate, they always did everything hastily which then meant a painful procedure and my tooth later required a redo. Dr. Chung also explained every step clearly using non-medical terms, checked in with me periodically throughout the procedure, and just basically spoke to me like I'm human not just another patient.
My lower molar I did root canal on years ago also has complications. I was getting mixed recommendations across dentists, but none were able to explain what was going on. One said they need to dissect the tooth, another to open up my gums, another to extract my tooth to find out the cause, and another to just leave it alone and see what happens... sigh. Dr. Chung was able to explain things my dentist, other endos, and periodontist could not explain - an infection on my root spreading through my gum - and showed me evidence of this infection through x-ray images. Although my insurance might not cover this tooth and I found cheaper alternatives, I am choosing Dr. Chung to take care of this tooth too because she sure seems to know what she's doing.
So for those of you complaining she's overbooked... wait with some painkillers and get good results... or find another endo and get whatever result you might get. :)
I had a broken tooth which was experiencing high sensitivity to cold and went to Dr. Chung for a root canal. The staff here is professional and efficient. They did have a problem confirming my dental savings plan initially, but they called me with the issue long before the appointment and we cleared it up.
The office is easy to find and is clean. I was the only one waiting both times I came and only waited about 5 minutes, excluding filling out paperwork. Once the doctor saw me, she was clear about the procedure and the chances of success. She and the staff allowed me to take a few minutes to decide what I wanted to do before proceeding with the first half of my root canal.
I completed the root canal in two visits (Dr. Chung prefers to not do it all at once) and both times, I was comfortable. The doctor ensured I experienced no pain or discomfort during the procedure. It took about an hour each visit. I had some pain after the first part of the procedure, but I called the office once they were open and they took down my concerns, spoke with the doctor, and called back the same day to update me. I have had no sensitivity or pain in the tooth since. My regular dentist is satisfied with the job Dr. Chung did and is confident in moving forward with my crown.
As such, I highly recommend Dr. Chung.
