From the first call to Simple Choices, answered by Nick Facci, and throughout the planning of our daughter's services, Nick's professionalism, passion for his vocation, attention to every detail, thoughtfulness and kindnesses brought much comfort to our family. He communicated frequently through text, answered our phone calls and offered gentle words of support when most needed. Being a wonderful listener and creative planner, Nick offered ideas to help create a memorial service that truly honored and celebrated our daughter in a most beautiful and personal way.

Our loss happened late on a Sunday night and Roy with his helper, were at our home within the hour. Roy then left us in the capable hands of Nicholas, who was so very helpful with his guidance, kindness and direction. I would recommend Simple Choices to anyone in need of cremation services.
(May 7, 2023, 6:26 pm)I used Simple Choices Cremation Services when one of my relatives died recently. They were my first and only call. My honest opinion, I’d give my highest recommendation to this local pioneer. They’re reasonably priced, they’re efficient, and they do everything with great care. That’s literally ALL that you could ask for in a time like this. It was my first time dealing with a funeral home or cremation service. Setting out, there were three basic things that I hoped for: compassion, tact and efficiency. Roy and Nick at Simple Choices Cremation Services literally went above and beyond, making sure to listen carefully and compassionately, then offered their sincerest sympathies and condolences at my recent loss. Roy offered a broad range of affordable and attractive options for urns. Best of all, he immediately and expediently followed my wishes for my parent’s cremation to the letter, without fuss or delay. He was easy to work with, was trustworthy, compassionate and patient - a true credit to his long-time profession. Nick was amazing as well, such a professional. Their comfy location in Troy is right across the street from the river, so it had had a nice view.
From start to finish from this tragic end, they both made the experience more than bearable, which is so much appreciated at this time. Just my opinion, but I think that they set the bar high as an example for other competitors to follow.
(April 30, 2023, 3:19 pm)Simple Choices was recommended to my family for their cremation services and we decided to hold my father’s memorial service at their venue. I see now why they were recommended to us; they provided my family with professional and compassionate services throughout the entire process. My father passed in the early morning and Roy arrived shortly after we called and was extremely respectful and kind during such a distressing time. I had drafted an obituary and Nick helped us edit it in time to be submitted to the newspaper that same day.
My father did not want a traditional or religious service, so we essentially had to design a service from scratch. Nick spent a great deal of time with us to provide guidance and reassurance, help us refine our ideas, and ensure everything went smoothly. Losing a loved one will be stressful no matter what, but Nick’s attention to detail and wealth of experience with a variety of different types of services made things much easier. The flowers and photo slideshow were stunning and the location felt intimate and comfortable. Looking back, I don’t think there’s anything we would have changed… Simple Choices went above and beyond to help us honor my father’s wishes and his memory.
(March 21, 2023, 8:47 am)Recently my sister passed and her arrangements had already been setup with Simple Choices. I had no idea what to expect when I made the call to Nick. Both Roy and Nick were professional and compassionate during the whole process. I felt they treated my sister and my family with the utmost respect. They are very approachable and answered any questions that came up. I would definitely recommend Simple Choices to others in their time of need.
