“Matt has the last fair pawn shop in the capital region. About 10 years ago I needed their services and pawned them my bass. It was a $400 guitar and they gave me $140 loan on it. I come across gold and other precious metals from time to time and their prices are always within 1 to 2% of even places like old Saratoga coin so for the convenience I always go to Captain Cash. They are stand up guys.”

“It takes a lot for me to write a review. We get bombarded with businesses requesting a review so I rarely do it and when I do I want it to mean something. We stumbled across Lightexture when looking for a unique fixture above the dining table in our newly renovated kitchen. We fell in love with the Double Cut Boomerang as the shades reminded me of buffalo weaver birds nest I see all the time when in Africa for my safari company. It is the perfect fixture for us. But that is not enough to write a review. Unfortunately when the fixture arrived one of the shades had broken in transit. Our electrician was on a tight schedule and could not finish the job until we had the shade. We reached out to Avner Ben Natan at Lightexture and explained the situation. The next day a replacement shade was on its way to us and arrived in time to finish the job. He also provided directions on how to properly replace. So rarely do you find customer service like that. It was a joy to work with Avner and Lightexture as their pieces are not only unique and beautiful but they have great customer service and support. I cannot recommend them highly enough.”

“Love this store and it’s homey vibe. The gift and random things to decorate are fabulous. The service is great and they have been extremely patient with me at the paint counter. :)”

“I am a violinist. The shop is in a nice part of town and has a pleasant feel. Instruments of all kinds all around. The shop owner was super nice and helpful. Her knowledge was impressive. I went there to get a new chin rest and she brought out a few different kinds for me to try. The prices are agreeable and it was a pleasant experience. My violin’s varnish was messed up where my old chin rest was and she patched it up for free. When I asked for a tool to change my chin rests out she gave that to me for free as well. Great place to get student to advanced instruments and options range from around $200 to $4,000+. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a new string instrument or accessories, repair of an older one, or even to talk. Great time!”

“Troy Music Academy is amazing. The teachers are all excellent musicians and invested in developing and encouraging their students. My two daughters have been taking lessons here for a few years now and I’m so glad they have these wonderful musical role models in their lives! The teachers also quickly adapted to virtual lessons due to COVID so that lessons could continue safely!”

“I was looking for a warm cardigan sweater for my mom's 100th birthday. To my delight I they had exactly what I wanted, and they had it shipped immediately. My mom was totally delighted, not only at the warmth but the beauty of the sweater itself. I would recommend Counties of Ireland to anyone seeking high quality items at reasonable prices! Fantastic people.”
