Northway Animal Emergency Clinic

We had an emergency with my cat, Elvis. Unfortunately he was too sick and passed away while we were there. The staff was so compassionate and supportive during this heartbreaking time for my family. When I went in later to get his paw prints, the woman at the counter went AROUND the counter to hand me the box, and told me how sorry she was for my loss. You have no idea how much that touched me, she didn’t just hand me the box over the counter. Thank you for being so understanding and caring.

Our German Shepherd suffers from allergies, she had a bad skin flare up this weekend and we didn’t want to make her wait until Monday to see our usual vet so we walked in first thing this morning, a Sunday. Greeted at the desk by a friendly face and the entire experience was positive from there. The vet filling in, Dr Behan was patient and detailed in getting the history and wasted no time getting right on the floor to check things out. We left with medications and a good plan to bring her relief. Price was a bit higher than my regular vet, but considering they accommodate walk-ins and on the weekend I have no complaints.

I brought my very sick dog in to be seen and I can't say enough good things about our experience. Everyone was so kind and patient when answering our many questions. They thoroughly explained everything and I felt very comfortable with the care my dog received. They were very compassionate and took the time we needed to understand everything that was happening. I would highly recommend Northway Animal Emergency Clinic.

Had to bring my cat to the emergency vet today. North country veterinarian 35 fawn Road Gansevoort. Found out my cat has kidney problems. High white blood cells. I really appreciated the entire staff. They all went out of their way. To be kind and helpful. I am so grateful they were open. Even though my cat is very sick. I am following up with the vet. I think you all for your service and being there.

On Saturday my cat was crying and straining to urinate (he had symptoms of a urinary blockage which can be fatal). I called Northway and they said to bring him right in. As soon as I got there, they took him back immediately. While we were waiting to see a doctor, the same person who spoke to me on the phone came to me and reassured me that his bladder felt soft and that he was doing okay. Although he ended up being fine, I appreciated the swiftness and how serious they took the situation. Everyone that worked there was so kind. I watched someone gently reassure a crying pet mom in the waiting room that her dog was stable, and it brought me to tears. People complain about how much money emergency vets charge, but they don't understand how hard these people work or the breakdown of the costs of procedures. I would 100% go back and I recommend this place to anyone.
