“Top Notch Service!! I called from Los Angeles to find out if they had any gift baskets. I explained I was trying to put together an Irish breakfast Christmas surprise for a friend and Mary Ann, the owner, was more than helpful in curating all the essentials such as black and white pudding, etd. . AND she delivered it (he lives close by) at no charge the same day. My friend loved the selections she made. I rarely experience such caring customer service - and appreciate it very much!”

“The bold graphic logo says it all. This is a classy, friendly business with a broad range of products and an emphasis on products by artisans in the U.S. It now features a gallery of fine art by members of the Schenectady Art Society. There is something for everyone, the old and the new and all 'fine -' in the heart of historic Schenectady with parking at the ready.”

“I decided to buy used furniture instead of new ones and came across this store. I spent no more than $420 on a dining table with 6 chairs, a couch, 2 long bureaus, a computer desk and an armoire. The furniture are in excellent shape and beautiful. They don’t do delivery, but they had contacts of people who did. I contacted Robert of Man With A Van and he gave me a reasonable price. I’m very satisfied with my furniture and the customer service. I will be returning when I may need something else and I also recommend this furniture store to anyone reading this review.”

“I had an amazing experience at Paul Mitchell this morning. I have super Meditterean curls, and I was looking for someone who would listen and hear me since my hair can sometimes be overwhelming. She was gentle and really examined my hair and the type of curl I had, really nice girl. She helped me find the color I was looking for, and her on the floor teacher, Jaime, was super kind as well. She graduates in October, shout out to Christine Jackson! (Very professional young lady!) Highly recommend!”

“I live in Denver, and work at a remote company. I was planning a baby shower for my manager who lived in Schenectady and wanted to support a local business. I contacted them with our order and asked if they could help me with a surprise delivery for the remote baby shower. Not only did they make sure to get every book on our list, they shopped over the phone with me to find other gifts, and then packaged them up so beautifully at no extra cost. On top of that, Kathleen timed the delivery (which was a 20 minute drive for her) so that she would arrive just as the shower started and helped me keep this a surprise. This team really went above and beyond and I am so thankful there are great stores like this in the world still, who will go the extra mile for their customers. Go today and buy a book there! THANK YOU, Open Door Bookstore!”

“Every time I go here I always go to Savannah. She’s done 4 tattoos on me already and every single one was amazing. She’ll walk you through everything she’s going to do on your piece. She always puts your comfort first. Her work is amazing, her line work is spot on. If I’d recommend anyone it would be her. She’s a dope person and an amazing tattoo artist 🤘🏻”

“Neal and his team at MBM Construction are professional, reliable and very fair in all pursuits of their business. I have had them handle multiple projects for me from basic household jobs to full renovations which have all turned out great. Two things I look for when dealing with contractors are ability to manage a project and transparency, especially when it comes to pricing, and they deliver on both fronts. If you are considering a remodel, rehab, total gut or any construction project, be sure to include them in your plans as it is hard to find reliable people to handle these jobs. You will not be disappointed with their work!”

“I really enjoyed this place, the owner Momodu Freeman is a great guy and has tons of great finds. You can find anything from vintage and high end used HiFi gear to pro audio mixing gear and even has a mix of vacume cleaners. Momodu is a straight shooter and keeps his pricing reasonable. He sells mostly used working gear but has some great finds for guys like me that like a project machine to fix up. If you like vintage HiFi or just a mix of unusual electronics you will love it hear!”
