“I went to this beach to watch the sunset and it DID NOT disappoint! The beach is small and clean for the most part. There were secured kayaks and canoes which made things look a little messy, but they were out of the way. Special bonus: a small herd of deer came running onto the beach at sunset. It was terrific!”

“Very pretty tucked away Marina and park. I like to go there to sit along the small beach area by the bay. Lots of free parking and it's usually busy. There is also a casual restaurant with outdoor seating. Love it!”

“One of the best parks on Long Island. It feels like you're upstate. It's extremely beautiful and never overcrowded. Can't wait to go once the leaves start to change. You need A LOT of bug spray though. Deep Woods - not regular.”

“I decided to take a walk here in the middle of December and it was quite serene, but I think I would prefer to come back when the pond isn't frozen, and there's leaves on the trees and the reeds are alive and green.”

“This place is a treasure. Volunteer run facility with natural activities for kids to engage in. The butterfly house is really neat and modestly priced at a $3.00 admission fee. There’s tons of little creatures to look at inside the main house and outside the main house. As I understand it, all animals were rescued.”
Address: Maple Ave, Smithtown, NY 11787, USA
“Great place to walk around in. Good place to go fishing. The only problem is the walking trail it ends up not going all the way around the lake and stops on the side of the road without notice. Make sure if you fish you have your fresh water license. You can get the license at any sporting goods store.”

“Great trails to walk. Very relaxing place. A very clean park to come with family or a partner. The scenery is amazing all year round. You can enjoy a nice bike ride or a long walk. The new cottages that they are building are looking very nice. Great park for those with 4x4's when it rains to drive through the puddles.”

“Went here for a picnic. The picnic area's very nice. BBQ Pits are available and a short walk will take you right to the beach. The beach is VERY rocky! I suggest water shoes.”

“Grab a tube and ride the lazy river through the wetlands preserve to the east or pull up a chair and enjoy the harbor to the west. Visit during low tide to enjoy the expanse of sand bars. Great small North Shore beach.”

“Beautiful park, lots to do and you can walk out on the sand or walk in the little boardwalk. I came here with my nieces and my daughter and they had a ball. Ages ranging from 9 to 4 years of age. Wasn't that chilly but it wasn't the summer so I'm sure there must be vendors and lots more to do when its warm out.”
