“If you are looking for something a little different, the Castle Hotel & Spa is the place for you. Historic, romantic, and a little scary. There is minimal staff, but they were wonderful. The room was nice and spacious. We opted for the private dining, which was a little pricey...but it was a nice experience. The continental breakfast was fine, and the view while eating was beautiful.”

“In March Of 2021, I brought and treated my wife Kathy and myself for a wonderful weekend stay at the King Mansion at the Tarrytown House Estate On The Hudson!!! We stayed at the King Mansion to celebrate our great love for one another, and to commemorate our Happy Three Year Honeymoon Anniversary. We enjoyed every minute of our experience during our stay at this luxurious and historic mansion. The King Mansion is an absolutely elegant and gorgeous attraction on the Tarrytown House Estate, and was one of my favorite hotel to visit and stay. My wife and I instantaneously fell in love with our warm and cozy room, and we were deeply impressed by the majestic view of the Hudson River, the Mario Cuomo Bridge and the New York City skyline that we were able to see from our rooftop porch. We also enjoyed wearing the bathroom robe and slippers provided by the hotel. It was nicely well made felt very comfortable. The hotel staff were also very welcoming and accommodating. They provided valet parking and helped brought luggage to and from our rooms. Both my wife and I had a wonderful experience at the King Mansion and highly recommend that everyone visit and stay at this beautiful and exquisite estate.”

“Pretty decent place for the price. Lobby is beautiful. Nice pool and sauna. Rooms are decent. It was a little noisy but I was right by the pool. ( excited children). The had live jazz and a restaurant on site. I love that they have refrigerator in the room.”

“Beautiful and elegant venue. The rooms were clean. Sanitation was taken seriously. The TV remote was sanitized and wrapped in plastic when we arrived. Social distancing and mask compliance throughout the entire estate. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The grounds were well kept and beautiful. Peaceful and relaxing.”

“Great hotel in a convenient location in Tarrytown. There are 2 restaurants in the lobby - Ruth's Chris and Cooper's Mill. Room service however is limited to a simple menu, "Fresh Bites." When I checked in, there was a huge line waiting, and it took awhile to see somebody even though I had checked in online. Once I finally did check in however I was really pleasantly surprised just find out that they had upgraded me to the presidential suite! The presidential suite was very roomy, had a couch, armchairs, dining room, bar and a separate bedroom and bathroom. The bed was super comfortable, there are two TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room, and the dining table was fantastic to work at. There are no views, only of the parking lot. Mirror in the bathroom above the sink was large and modern, and there was a vanity makeup mirror as well. Bathtub was dated, but functional. My only complaint was that the bed linens smelled moldy and my pajamas smelled moldy the next day. Other than that, great stay!”

“The hotel was nice overall, but there were some oddities. A covered ramp up the center of the parking lot offered convenience, but is difficult to traverse in high heels/formal attire. Elevators were rather far from check-in. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable. Shower had very little pressure. The Cafe in the lobby serves Starbucks coffee.”

“Beautiful foyer. Wonderful setting for events, but the rooms haven't been updated. No ventilation fan in the bathroom. Mattresses had squeaky coils - basic mattress. Dresser drawers stick. Nonetheless, the housekeeping staff was wonderful- polite and respectful. The hotel staff was tremendously helpful despite a very busy weekend.”
