“Really nice park with a long walking trail. At far end there is an impressive 911 memorial. The memorial is built with a large steal beam from the 911 destroyed Twin Towers in NYC to form a huge sun dial/clock. Next to it there are detailed explanations of how the Sun Dial works and a correction graph for the difference between the sun dial's reading as a function of the time of day. The memorial is nice artistically, in addition to its science educational value. North of the parking the Park has a Bathroom House with separate Men's and Women's. Both include baby changing table :-) that is nice to have.”

“My go to local hike. A few different ways up. I like to make it short and steep. Good quick workout with awesome views for sunset.”

“Great trail for a day hike. This is the longer, more challenging way to get to Anthony's Nose - but it also provides more solitude before you get to the popular main section of the trail. The views of the Hudson River, Bear Mountain State Park, and the Purple Heart Veterans Memorial Bridge (formerly the Bear Mountain Bridge) are beautiful, plus it's a great area to see hawks. From the Bear Mountain Tollhouse, the Camp Smith Trail is a 6.2 mile round-trip to the Nose and back, or you can descend on the Appalachian Trail for a 4.2 mile hike if you don't need to get back to the origin.”

“Great view of hudson. Nice pier to walk out on and relax. Small walking trails with interesting metal art. Small play area good for kids 5 to 10. Open space, boat launching, train tracks etc. A few places to eat within walking distance (brewery, taco bar, coffee place, etc) also there is an excellent bakery South st Bakery. Must buy something there. Public rest room available.”

“Great Community Dog Park with a good size fence enclosed area for your pets to run and play freely. If you want to experience something more tranquil and private you can continue onto the many trails behind the park, just keep following the trail instead of turning into the fenced off section. Most of the trails have designations making it difficult to get lost or go off trail. This trails level of difficulty is very easy, only with 1 or 2 steep inclines. Early mornings are best if you are looking for a more isolated experience. Later on in the day would be best for socializing as you’re like to see other visitors with their pets. Give this clean, well maintained park a shot, I do recommend.”

“Great pool for all. They have a little kiddies wading pool with a little fountain in the middle. The main pool is very large. There are two lanes reserved for swimming laps. They also have a diving board in a cordoned off section of the deep end. The best part is the water slide. It's not huge but it actually picks up a lot of speed towards the end. Lots of fun. There is a little canteen and plenty of shade and picnic tables. Overall this is an amazing little pool. If the kids get bored of swimming there is a playground right outside!”

“Great National Park to visit with your family and to hang out with others. Having Thanksgiving Dinner I saw once in a covered up dinning area next to a Fire Pit indoors. Great Barbequing areas all around the park! Nice place to come to and be out of the Big City Area! Good dog walking area. You'll go up and down steep well paved Hills here. That have Gorgeous well Wooded Sections of the park. All off of a large Reservoir that's good for Rowing and Fishing if anyone's up for that to do on their own as a Daily Personal Adventure!!????”
