“REALLY SAD THAT ACCESS HAS BROUGHT A LOT OF TRASH(AND BEER) UNFORTUNATELY, THE TOWN DOES NOTHING AT ALL TO KEEP IT UP. ONCE A MONTH CLEAN UP WOULD BE A STEP FORWARD. CALL THE TOWN AND LET THEM KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS!”

“Beautiful and inspiring place to spend a quiet, relaxing afternoon. Restrooms available, friendly faces, and good breezes will make you want to stay here and come back.”

“Lovely Sanctuary! If you want to have some quiet time, go for a walk with your dog, go with your family or just paint or photograph nature, observe plants or animals, get away from noise. This is the perfect place! There is a swamp, there is a bird observatory, there are several trails and are easy to follow. The dark blue trail might be a bit stiff in a couple of spots if you never go for walks, but kids can do it perfectly fine. The other trails are really easy. I don't think it's a great place for runners. I t's just beautiful!”

“Nice little park that many people probably don't know about. It's got a pier and some nice views of the Hudson and Bear Mountain area. I went there a couple of times and just sat and looked at the scenery. It's a good, quiet place to go to and think or just relax and hang out. I like it, although I have no idea who Charles is or why the park is named after him. Go check it out if you're ever in the area.”

“What's a great little experience! This was the perfect 2-3 hour Fall festival to attend. It was not overly attended, it was also not underwhelming. There are some "activities" for the kids like a face painter, a small haunted hay maze (that my kids never wanted to leave), a Halloween train display, a craft beer tent, a food truck and even a dinosaur walk. Also, and this is so simple, there's a hill that all the kids there sent time after time going up and down. Again, this isn't a huge place but it was such a pleasant, quite Fall surprise. I'll definitely be heading back for their Christmas event.”

“What an awesome escape from the stress of life!!!! This place is BEAUTIFULLLLLLL!!!!! You’ll have to drive there, then you can ride your bike along the dirt road, or bring a folding chair to read a book while you listen to nature at its best.”

“As town parks go, without equal on the open space side of things anyway. The structural part is minimal AND LET'S KEEP IT THAT WAY. 3 season bathrooms near the office and playground, two tracks, a soccer field (some of these facilities are reserved, or even dedicated to school use. Town pool in park and basket ball courts both within and directly adjacent. Easily accessible and once there, you can walk, run, or ride on your choice on paved road, dirt paths, or full on trail. Small but stocked pond with catch and release. Skating in winter (call ahead).”
