“Our mother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and within 6 hours we had to find a home to place her and choose a hospice care company. We were blessed to find Quality Hospice to come in and help care for mom while she was in the assisted living facility. Everyone we came in contact with from this hospice company was beyond kind and compassionate. These people really cared about our family and what we were going through. Linda Miller was our assigned nurse and we could not have found anyone better. She was always there when we needed her or needed supplies. The only reason I am not giving them five stars is because Mom died on Monday morning and it is now Thursday evening and the hospice doctor still has not signed the death certificate so that her body can be shipped back for burial. Our family is traveling from all over the US for the funeral which we haven't scheduled yet because there is no death certificate. This has been very frustrating! Everyday they have promised it would be signed and faxed by the end of the day but so far nothing.”

A whole group of regulars that I’ve made friends with over the years. Coffee, beer. Art. Parties and events. Live music. Great location. DOGS! I’ve since moved out of Astoria, and this place really is one of the main things I miss. I’ve got countless good memories over the years. Hanging out here was a consistent part of my daily life and it’s really rare to find such a strong local community feeling, but this cafe has it. Go here, play with dogs, meet incredible people. You’ll love it, definitely recommended!”

The lively duo, Ellen San Miguel and Zkats Alvir are doing wonderful work servicing people who live Filipino food. The menu includes a variety of breakfast meals called diologsn as in tapsilog, longsilog, . We thoroughly enjoyed our “diligence” I had dsingsilog and my husband had karnelog ((corned beef, two fried eggs and fried rice with sides of mango salad and our cousin Bombiy’s famous at char (papaya pickled with pepper and onions in relish Filipino vinegar. We were happy contented munchers. Charmingly genetous, we were given a slice of Brazil’s de Mefcedes and Silva (frozen cake delicacies) wow na wow. Yes we’ll come again, with ftiends!!!!”

“One of my favourite coffee places in Buffalo. It’s right near the bridge to the boarder, so we always stop here on our way back to Ontario. They have all of your standard coffee drinks but I always order mine with the alt milk that is made in house for an extra charge. There are some food items you can order like raisin toast with maple butter. Their beans are for sale as well. It’s a real neighbourhood coffee shop and a really cool experience.”

We finally were able to get our coffee after more than a 20 minute wait and after bringing the problem to the staff's attention 3 times. It appeared to me that the reason for the delay was because there were simply not enough people working to take care of the customers and the coffee station.”
