In the spring and summer, the magnificent displays of lilies and lotuses scatter the ponds today also have fish in them. “Fun and Educational, this place is amazing. Highly recommend it as a place to visit if you are traveling by. Plan to be there at least 2 hours. They actually give you a guided tour with lots of historical facts and full of knowledge! My 13 year old son was fascinated with the information and the staff was all so friendly. They are all dressed in character and even though him how to play the games children played in the Colonial times. Definitely worth the time and money to go there.”

“Sadly, ‘it’s a rare thing in New York City to find homes from pre-Revolutionary War Days preserved. Thankfully this one was and it has quite the story to tell. Well worth a visit. Especially to see the period furnishings and artifacts.”

“Really enjoyed our visit! Was a 45 min subway ride from midtown Manhattan then a 10-15 minute walk from the subway stop. We walked through a business/industrial area to get to the site, felt safe but it’s not scenic. Once we got to the site, we loved it. Since we were the only 2 visitors there at the time, got a private tour of the church and organ recital! Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The church and cemetery are a hidden gem and an interesting part of American history. Highly recommended it!”

“What is there to not love about this botanical Museum. The estate is well maintained and the plants, fauna, flowers, and trees are very happy; they all glow and exude happiness and therefore activate happiness within. There is so much visible natural beauty and peace about the grounds and it is a stone throw from industrial urban living. To have and be privy to such beauty and information (there is a library on site) is truly much fortune in this age of the unconscious.”
