“This is across the street from Moynihan Hall it’s mostly for NJ transit now. Has plenty of eating options & few stores. It’s also under Madison square garden so there’s access to there.”

“Earlier this morning, I caught the 118am train from Rye, the power tripping conductor had the sack to usher me to where I was to sit! I relocated within seconds, no-one puts me in the corner! To his dismay, he returned to see that I had moved from my “assigned” seating. I hope this type of conduct is not a glimpse of future behavior towards passengers!!!”

“This was the beginning of my bike adventure. Taking the train out to Buffalo and then biking back on the Empire Trail.”

“Mount Kisco station is always well maintained during all four seasons. During the winter months crews come by before dawn to shovel snow and spread salt. During the warmer months the grounds crew power wash the platform and staircase every couple of weeks. There are no station attendants to purchase tickets but there are automated machines to buy them from at the top walkway platform. Parking is paid via ticket meters or a parking permit issued by the town hall. The two enclosed waiting areas, one atop the stairs and the other halfway down the train level platform, are both heated.”

“I will defend the statement that public transportation in the United States pales in comparison to its fellow developed nations, but Grand Central Terminal is one of those places that makes me happy to use NY public transportation. It's an architectural marvel less iconic than the Empire State Building, but so much more aesthetic. The food options within and nearby are tempting. The staff are approachable & know their stuff.”

“I love this place, perfect place for railfanning to watch many different freights and even Amtrak trains. I hope one day that Amtrak will upgrade this station just like the downtown one.”
Address: Woodcliff Lake, NJ 07656, USA
“It's a nice station. There's no restroom at this station. It's comfortable and clean inside though. The location is certainly nice. It's right on the lake (reservoir) and is very easy to drop off/ pick up passengers.”

“The one and only station. At amboy road. You don't mind taking the Culver Line. Metija.”

Address: The Bronx, NY 10468, USA
“Well maintained station, elevators usually work, trains usually on time, maybe couple minutes early or late, only downfall is it doesn't tell you train times or delays. You must know those beforehand or have a device to search it up.”

“Easy commute to NYC. Plenty of early morning parking.”
Address: Fishkill, NY 12508, USA
“This is the stop for passengers hiking in this area, notably Breakneck Ridge. This is a LIMITED stop. Trains unload passengers here only on weekends and holidays. Keep that in mind if you plan on riding the train to this stop. As the current schedule indicates, northbound trains stop here only a few times during the morning and once in the afternoon. Make sure you check the schedule to see if you're on the right train. Only one door opens and that is towards the rear of the train. LOTS of hikers get off on this stop, so prepare to unboard as the train makes the stop. If you're also riding the train back, the stop is further north, near the bridge above the tracks. To get to it, walk north on Route 9D until you see a path to the bridge you need to cross. Not a long walk. Walk on the bridge to get to the other side of the tracks and do not walk on the railroad. It is trespassing and very dangerous. Trains run here at 80 mph. As the SCHEDULED train approaches to stop at the station, be prepared to board and get to the yellow platform. Do not miss the train or you will have to wait for the next one which is a long wait and like northbound trains, southbound trains make very limited stops here. Other trains quickly rush through here, so stay away from the tracks. Be aware that southbound trains blast the horn continuously and very, very loudly as they pass the area. You might want to cover and protect your ears. I have to emphasize again, make sure you check the schedule so you can plan accordingly as the schedule is subject to change. There is planned construction on the trails of Breakneck Ridge but keeps getting delayed. When it begins, trains service to this area will stop until construction is complete. Call the MTA and ask for updates on service.”

“Nice little local station train was like 1 or 2 minutes late not that bad and I like the abandoned kind of trains on the opposite tracks ”

“That's our favorite hike. It gets very! crowded on the weekends! Since we're early birds and get there before the trains from NYC arrive, it usually doesn't affect us. But good luck finding a parking spot around noon ”
Address: Beaverdam Lake-Salisbury Mills, NY 12553, USA
“Parking lot lights reasonably compensate for lack of sunlight during the evening hours. Machines reasonably stand in for human beings for access to train tickets. Yellow traction strips at the platform edge are awesome. Seriously consider Salisbury Mills-Cornwall for all your train transportation needs in the Salisbury Mills-Cornwall area. ”

“I want to move to Brewster and get a job in nyc, are there apartments near the train station? I hear they are pricey”

“Acted well in "The Commuter". Oscar worthy performance”
Address: Southeast, NY 10509, USA
“Southeast good option for committing to NYC. The train station is the last stop for electric trains on the Harlem line. All stops further north are served by diesel engine. The parking lot is absolutely massive. There are actually two lots, one for commuters with a parking permit and one for those without. If you are paying in the farthest lot for noon permit holders please arrive early as it's easily a 10 minute walk to the platform. There are elevators for those who can't or don't want to take the stairs. The parking lot has good lighting at night for the walk back to your car. Taxi and public transportation options are limited this is Putnam county so not our of the ordinary. They recently added a digital arrival/departure display for schedules”
Address: Greenlawn, NY 11740, USA
“Much easier to park in Greenlawn and take the train in to Huntington then to try to find parking in Huntington. The station is quiet, but it is slightly hidden behind the bank. The waiting room is only open weekdays and I am currently having to wait in the snow for this train. The parking lot and walkways are all ice/snow free.”

“A nicely maintained Railroad Station of the Metro-North Hudson Line. Like most stations on the Hudson line it has splendid views of the Hudson River. Almost directly across the river from the station we can also see West Point Military Academy and on the adjacent Garrison Landing there is a ferry run by the U.S. Army which services the academy. It has an electronic ticket kiosk on the southward platform.”
