(August 27, 2019, 2:39 pm)A lovely beginner or relaxing area that is easy to reach and launch from and is also near walking trails, a playground, and food! We saw a ton of egrets, herons, flowers, and even a beaver dam!! Highly recommend if you're looking for something relaxing or a place to get back on the water after 4+ years. :) We can't wait to do the Haw Mill Race (South of the spillway). Really looking forward to returning!

(May 22, 2019, 7:25 am)One of my favorite places to go fish. Always seem to catch something, so it's a great place to take kids. But don't let the "easy fishing" fool you. There are plenty of good size crappie, panfish, bass, and catfish in the lake, just have to get to them. Good for a day of kayaking, plenty of places to explore and fish.
