“Great paved path, they say 1/2 mile. I say maybe a 1/2 mile (maybe little less). Great for dog walking! There is a dog park, but we don’t use them. Clean open rest rooms when we were there in Jan. Fitness park - looks interesting! Will go again!”

Burlington Arboretum

Address: 408 E Willowbrook Dr, Burlington, NC 27215, USA

Park

“The Burlington Arboretum is a great park with a turf lawn. The walking trails are very well maintained. There is a platform built around a large tree. The playground equipment was clean. The park also has benches and picnic tables, bathrooms and water fountains.”

Saxapahaw Campground

Address: 1714 Petty Rd, Graham, NC 27253, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“A good friend and I decided to give this campground a try this past weekend. It is probably the cleanest campground I've ever been on... That includes the bathrooms and showers, which are top notch. The view of the dam and the river just a hundred feet away was great. Our lot included a fire pit, well maintained box grill (zero rust, etc.). The best part of the entire experience was the entire site being completely shaded, unless you spend time on the river. Mike and Luke were completely focused on the guests, which is always a hallmark of a good, private business. I cannot recommend this campground enough, and I will certainly be back!”

Saxapahaw Mill Race Paddle Access

Address: 6079 Swepsonville-Saxapahaw Rd, Graham, NC 27253, USA

Cane Creek Mountains Natural Area - Pine Hill Trailhead

Address: 5075 Bass Mountain Rd, Snow Camp, NC 27349, USA

Park

“Love this natural area. Quite unique for the typical piedmont topography. Expect to see or hear a great variety of birds when they are active, and also gain quite a bit of elevation which is not common in this part of the state (it is the highest peak east of Greensboro).”

Great Bend Park

Address: 350 Greenwood Dr, Burlington, NC 27217, USA

Park

“Very pretty area, but a short hike. Seems like possibly a good place to fish if that is your thing. I mostly leave reviews so I can remember where we have already hiked.”

Green Level Municipal Park

Address: 1414 Swann Rd, Green Level, NC 27217, USA

Park

“This is a well round play area. They have ample parking. There’s a basketball court, volleyball sand pit, large green field with soccer goals on one end and a baseball field. There are also play structures for children 2-5 and 6-12ish. There are 4 baby swings and 4 big kid swings. There’s also a roped climbing structure. They also have an exercise section with body weight exercise equipment. A walking track encircles the field and play structures. If you go around it 4 times it’s a mile. It also looks like the path goes around the baseball field but I didn’t walk that far. There’s air conditioned bathrooms with a water fountain and hand sanitizer section. There’s plenty of seating with benches and bleachers and the waterfall at the front is cute. A gazebo is near the play area. There is also a little library in front of it. Overall there’s something for most people out there.”

Saxapahaw Lake Paddle Access

Address: 6096 Jordan Drive, Graham, NC 27253, USA

Park

“A lovely beginner or relaxing area that is easy to reach and launch from and is also near walking trails, a playground, and food! We saw a ton of egrets, herons, flowers, and even a beaver dam!! Highly recommend if you're looking for something relaxing or a place to get back on the water after 4+ years. :) We can't wait to do the Haw Mill Race (South of the spillway). Really looking forward to returning! Out and back paddling.”

Graham Regional Park

Address: 1575 N Jim Minor Rd, Haw River, NC 27258, USA

Park

“It’s rare that I give a park 5 stars but this one takes the cake! So here’s the run down. This park is actually 3 different parks, traditional, earthy and athletic. There is ample parking, 4 coed restrooms, handicap parking, and two small picnic shelters. The traditional park has a large play structure, a sand pit, a carousel type swing, two short zip lines, and swings. They have baby swings where parents can swing with their child and adaptive swings that latch. There’s also a path around the park. If you do 12 laps, it’s a mile. It’s also fenced in. The earthy park as two swings, two slides in a hill, a rock that kids can climb and a larger climbing structure. It also has a longer zipline. The athletic park has a ninja warrior type obstacle course. It also had workout equipment for multiple different workouts. The athletic park and earthy park or surrounded by a track that has lanes for walking and cycling. 4 times around the track is a mile. This park has everything we look for in a park and caters to children and adults. It’s l hours of fun!”

Haw River Trail

Address: 3916 R Dean Coleman Rd, Burlington, NC 27215, USA

Park

“Some friends and I floated down the river. We called and made rhe reservations which was super easy and we got there and filled our waivers out then actually drove to the end to park our vehicles and they drive you to the drop in spot and go over everything with you. And that way when your done you get out and your at your car and don't have to wait for anyone to come and pick you up. Slightly bumpy the first lil bit then smooth sailing the rest of the way. They also have cooler rafts you can rent to hold for drinks and snacks which I highly recommend so you can stop for a picnic!”

Sport of Horses Park

“This place was great! As soon as we arrived we were immediately greeted by April (in the pouring rain!) she was friendly and it’s evident she takes pride in her job. The layout was easy, the sites were spacious and landscape was beautiful. We stopped here in transit for one night but if we had known how nice it was we would’ve changed our itinerary to stay for several days.”

Real estate agency Park

“A very nice and open park that is fairly new to the area. There is a small lake, a large play area for children and a smaller play area for toddlers. You'll also find an area with water features for children to play in. There is a small snack bar with eating area, large and small ramada's for family parties and gatherings. They offer a pickleball and tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields and basketball courts. It's great for bicyclists since they have an air pump station and chain attached tools if needed. There are some interesting sculptures when you first come into the park. The bathrooms were clean and well lit. We walked all over the park and thought it was very well maintained, clean and good for all ages to enjoy👍👍👍👍👍”

Alamance Parks

Address: 3916 R Dean Coleman Rd, Burlington, NC 27215, USA

“This park is the same as cedar Rock Park in believe. I'm not sure why it comes up on the map twice. But we love going to cedar Rock, there are lots of nice areas, there are trails, picnic areas, etc. There are two disc golf courses too”

Billow Carol J

Address: 5 Townsquare, Chatham, NJ 07928, USA

Health Park

“A very nice trail system. Great parking area with overnight camping spots. Tent pads, water hookup, and charcoal grill at each camp site.”

Glencoe Paddle Access

Address: 2348 Glencoe St, Burlington, NC 27217, USA

Park

“Access to the Haw River Trail and to the Glencoe Historic District. This is probably one of the better sections of the Haw River Trail in my opinion. Of course access for river paddling too. The river moving west has a dam in Great Bend Park so you can't paddle beyond that. The river moving east you can paddle for miles. This access has a gazebo, signage about the river accesses, and parking for about 15 cars. Gated so look at the posted hours. Trash cans here but no bathrooms.”
