“The food was good. It does not look like your typical Mexican restaurant inside. More like a cafeteria. Fried chicken chimichanga was good. The king burrito was awesome! Sounds weird to have fries inside a burrito, but it was delicious. The fajitas were a lot of food. So much infact, there are not enough tortillas that come with it. I will take that problem any day! Just make a taco salad out of the rest. The one star off is for the off tasting water. It was not great. And the service was pretty slow. But I would give this place another try.”

“I took a surf lesson while on a trip in OBX, and it was amazing. The wetsuit rental and fitting was very easy and convenient, and the board was perfect. The lesson instructors were super fun and supportive, but also really informative. I learned a lot, but the shop was also very cute. They had a huge variety of beachwear and other things like necklaces and stickers. I would definitely recommend stopping by because there's something for everyone, and if you'd like to learn how to surf this is an amazing place to start.”

The entire staff, from the principal and teachers to the volunteer parents and grandparents, create an atmosphere of love, kindness and patience for each and every student. The curriculum is amazing because the students are learning through repetition and reinforcement, and not just memorizing facts to pass a test. The classroom sizes are small so they are receiving the one on one interaction that is so important to learning. My favorite part, though, is seeing the students happy and smiling!
