“Love that there are divided park options by size of dogs very spacious. Always water available and the dogs and owners have been very nice and everyone is attentive to their dogs. Also a nice kids park and picnic tables on the back side.”

“This is a great park. There’s a fantastic playground area with equipment for big and little kids. There are soccer fields and baseball fields. The restrooms are clean. There’s direct access to the American Tobacco Trail. There’s plenty of parking. I really enjoy this park!”

“Loved having the chance to see all the raptors and the Raven. We had a guided tour and it was FANTASTIC! Got to hear their back stories and learn about their habits, skills, personalities, and behaviors in the wild! Highly recommended! (Love the Screech Owl Arlo and Tony the Horned Owl!)”

“My two years old and my fourth years old loved it. It looks like a good neighborhood, and loved the fence around the playground in case you little runners try to scape.”

“Nice little playground in the middle of the woods. Had to look around for a few minutes before I was even able to FIND it, LoL. It was around 30° but my little guy still had fun on this playground. Very modern equipment and LOTS of variety of ways to climb and play on things. Has a twisty slide, spiderweb rope climbing, abs a curved mountain rock-climbing wall. Of course there’s a small kids playground too for the one-year-olds. Great park! There is also a fenced in dog park here as well!”

“Adorable little neighborhood park! SO colorful! This playground likes like it fell outta a bag of Skittles! LOVE IT! The entire park is completely covered by huge shade trees. SO nice! Great little playground and different stuff for young children to play on. My boy had a lotta fun here! Great little playground to bring your young children to!”

“Rolling View campground is a very nice facility. We have stayed here on several outings since we purchased our Class A motorhome September 2018. It has become one of our go to place since its only three hours from our home in New Bern NC. There are nice wooded semi private sites mostly off of the Falls Lake. Roads are paved, sites are gravel with varied degrees of level. Fire rings and picnic tables are located at each site. RV sites have 30 and a 10 amp receptacles. There is also water located at each site. The general appearance of the park very pretty. It has rolling hills surrounded by beautiful hardwood forrest with lots of wildlife including birds, grey squirrels, rabbits, deer and others. It's a very peaceful, pleasant place to unwind. There is a fishing pier located on B loop. We haven't used any of the bath/shower facilities so I can't comment on those. There is a sewer dump located near the park entrance. Unless you want to do multiple setups I would highly recommend a portable potty tank for convenience. Overall I would have rate the park Five Stars. I only chose Four because 50 amp service would be a great option for units with multiple AC unit operation during very hot weather! Unfortunately, larger RVs do get quite warm with high temps but are still manageable if start cooling early morning so you can help get past the peak high temperatures.”

“Nice park to take your dog. If your dog is very shy or a puppy you may want to take them when it’s just you all and no other dogs. There was a great dain there when I took my puppy and the owner would not stop his adult dog from pouncing on my puppy until my puppy hid under the table and I had to just leave. It your dogs aren’t really friendly don’t take them to the park and allow them to bully smaller dogs!”

“Great place for family or group camping! You can drive right up to the camp grounds or backpack in. There is a huge open field for activities. Lake Michie is easily accessed from trails. There are good sites for bank fishing and large catfish available for landing. The road in can be a little bumpy and the entrance is not well marked. The site is very popular with local Boy Scout Troops.”

“It's absolutely stunning, and it's a fantastic spot for a scenic stroll and photography. There's a lot to see, so you'll probably need to come back a couple of times depending on your mood for a long, long walk. A beautiful body of water with this adorable red bridge is only a small part of the scenic beauty that this park has to offer. It's also completely free. ( Parking is only $2/hr) unfortunately gift shop was closed because of private even.”

“Small, but nice park tucked away across from the school on Garrett Road, near Garrett & Hope Valley. It is easy to miss, just look for the green & blue park sign as you turn from Hope Valley on tk Garrett. There are a few tennis courts that are always full & I think a "playground " down a small trail. Restrooms are available. I practice flying my drone there,if it's not too crowded. Will try to post drone photo of park...”

“Cute little park to visit while driving through the area. It is very close to the highway so it was the perfect stop for our move up north. Only downside was I did not see any restrooms around, but there is a gas station just up the road for bathroom breaks.”

“It was nice. I went there on a motorcycle and depending how you enter it's either 1 mile or.5 mile down a gravel road. So just a word of caution if you aren't going by car truck or SUV. It's a nice gravel road. But still... Lots of loop trails. Everything I walked on was very easy and flat. Glad I stopped by because this was pretty far east of where I live. It just happened to fall in the middle of a motorcycle ride I was on. Photo of map attached.”

“Lovely nature preserve to visit right off I-85 in Durham. There's the beaver marsh, complete with the obligatory beaver lodge and beavers, as well as the Ellerbe Creek flowing through the preserve. You would never guess that there is such a cool place so close to urbanity!”

“Northgate dog park is fully fenced-in. Whenever I go, there's usually just a couple other people with their dogs. The only down side of the park is that it has some low spaces that are muddy if it has rained recently. But if it hasn't rained in a few days, it's a great place to throw a ball to a dog and to socialize a dog with other dogs”

“The Mountains to Sea Trail is a great idea and gift to the people. The Falls Lake section is convenient and scenic.”

“I stopped in to do a walk. It's a nice park and is well maintained, but I don't think it is ideal for walking. It's more for playing basketball, and there's a park for children to play. However, as far as the walking trail, it is very short, and part of it is along the highway. There are much better places to do walking.”

“I stayed in B10 for a week. The space was almost level it took 25mins to set up..It was quite, shaded, and within walking distance to pier, bath house. I will stay her again when in North Carolina.”

“Always a good time whenever we visit. Covered picnic table pavilion (though the trees provide a lot of shade on their own), a water fountain that works, play structure, swings, and a wobble-totter which looks like a teeter-totter, but is more safe. Not gated, but set sufficiently back from the road that runners can be intercepted. No toilets.”

“This place has great trails. They are clean and we'll groomed. The signage to help you through the trails and identify what trails you are needs to be worked on. You can't tell which direction you have to go compared to the online map. It is easy to get turned around and on the wrong trail.”
