“This review is in response to a review posted by John Mitchell. I have worked with Malinda Goodson for over fifteen years as a property owner and I have continued my relationship with her firm based on her integrity and her professionalism and unbiased judgments when dealing with owners and tenants. The property John Mitchell is referring to had no preexisting issues. We have a checklist and ensure everything is in working order when the tenants move in the property. When he moved out we had to replace two complete bathtub fixtures and bathroom sink features. He did not call and complain about any repairs that had to be made to plumbing. Someone attempted to repair one of the bathtub fixture stems and broke them off then tried to repair it themselves and used the wrong fixtures and parts. If he would have called to have a plumber check everything out, this would not have created additional work and frustration for the owner and tenant. In addition, when light fixtures and household essentials are taken from the property they still have to be replaced. When security storm doors are broken they have to be repaired. When floors are damaged by tenants they still have to be repaired. We always take photos before tenants move into the properties. I kept the rental rates lower for a long time and I could have chosen to raise the rent but I did that because the tenants had to endure a few hot days when the HVAC which was old, had to be repaired. Malinda Goodson is fair and she makes sure the owner has the properties clean, and functional and she has a maintenance crew that does a professional job on their calls. In closing, Malinda does not lease the properties until they are prepared and in good shape. I would encourage any property owner or tenant looking to lease from her agency to give her an opportunity to better serve their needs. I highly recommend her agency without any reservations.”
