“Great trailhead to park at. You can go south to the yadkin river which is only a couple miles or so or north to pilot mountain which is 6.6 miles. Beautiful hike either way. I went to pilot and found grapes were in season along the trail. Fantastic snack!”

“Loved the area and the Rockford General Store!!! It's a must to stop in for a sandwich or meal!! The cherry Sonker was fabulous!!! The owner is a hoot!! He'll tell you the whole history of the store and the area while you're waiting for your meal!! You can eat outside or in among the antiques!! Great "little" store to spend some time in!! People come from all over to get sandwiches to eat in or to go.... you have to stop in and try them!!!”

Depending on which direction your coming from besides you have to have driver's license which nowadays is what you need but have to have direct deposit fill out literally two and a half 3 lb of paperwork to even get this job. The pay isn't worth all that work and stress over the banks that is no longer going to be around soon $15 an hour for 30 plus years experience running heavy equipment is nowhere near the respect that someone in my expertise needs fast food don't forget and paid more but not worth the stress. Plus the man who owns the place thinks he's better than everyone else just like the other place that I left Double Mountain equipment spends more time cussing you and trying to actually explain how things needs to be you can never do anything right.”

“Loved the blue grass concert. Then, we went back that night to see the new Antman movie. How often do you get to watch a new movie in an iconic theater. We sat in the balcony just to do it. We heard people eating popcorn behind us and talking, but we looked behind us, and no one else was up there but us! Any, it was great!!! Guys working the front were super nice and the place was clean.”
