“This was our third stop in Mt Airy to compare cheeseburgers with chili, mustard and slaw. We were getting full from the other burgers we sampled, so we split one at this location. Speedy Chef was the only restaurant that used a char-grill vs a flat top griddle, so the burger had an outdoor cooked flavor and crispy edges. We liked that. We also noticed the cheese was more melty on this burger than the other two locations we tried. The chili and the burger had a good flavor, but the slaw needed to be chopped a bit finer for my tastes. We also tried the hot fudge cake while there…and it was delicious. There are plenty of tables and chairs and since it wasn’t very busy, it wasn’t noisy inside. There is plenty of parking. Overall, a solid place for a cheeseburger and worth a try. We decided this Speedy Chef had the second-best cheeseburger in Mt Airy.”

“No need to give it less than 5 stars. It was our first time there. The food was good but not outstanding but that might get better after I go back a few times and figure out what I like best. It was a nice place downtown. It wasn't crowded. I've heard others comment that it was a little expensive. Maybe so but not much. We will probably go back soon.”

“My wife and I were in here this past Sunday to celebrate our anniversary and we almost didn't go due to the bad reviews we saw here and elsewhere but figured we should give it a shot. And I'm glad we did. Ryan was our waiter and did a great job with everything. The portions were great and the prices very reasonable. The only negative thing I can say was that one of the sides my wife ordered came out cold but Ryan took care of that quick, so that can be overlooked. All in all, it was a good experience and when up in the area again, we'd enjoy going back.”

“We eat here pretty regularly. The staff is friendly and the food is great. It's often crowded around lunch and dinner especially on weekends but they have plenty of seating. Seldom have we ever had issues with food or service. My only complaint is I wish they would work on the bathroom. They are typically clean but the soap dispenser has been broken for months, the mirror is gone and patched over, 1 paper towel dispenser quit working a while back and the other one is about done.”

“Loved the area and the Rockford General Store!!! It's a must to stop in for a sandwich or meal!! The cherry Sonker was fabulous!!! The owner is a hoot!! He'll tell you the whole history of the store and the area while you're waiting for your meal!! You can eat outside or in among the antiques!! Great "little" store to spend some time in!! People come from all over to get sandwiches to eat in or to go.... you have to stop in and try them!!!”

“Gorgeous views, excellent food, fantastic wine and amazing service!!! The owner himself was walking around making sure everyone was having a great experience which was really cool. The only thing I would change is a bit bigger portions (especially for the rack of lamb and mashed potatoes/sides) and a non alcoholic grape juice option as well for kids. “We we're driving around this beautiful area and we drove past "The Dairy Center" we were so confused, we had to check it out. So we walked in and were greeted with super nice staff. The food was great, and the ice cream was amazing. The decor was beautiful. When we we're trying to pay it turned out to be cash only. We only had card, so they let us make a run to the ATM and get some cash. We returned and paid, this was a super memorable trip.”

“My wife and I decided to get Breakfast here, this morning and was not disappointed, the place was very clean. The service was very good and fast. Everyone that worked here was cheerfully performing their jobs, smiling and laughing with each other and the customers, just put you in a good mood just being in there. “Me and my 4 year old daughter went for breakfast while out running errands.I got to say it was so nice. We loved the vibe and seating. Our waitress was super sweet. She had biscuits and gravy and about ate the plate she loved it so much. I got French Toast and sausage links with home fries. I wasn’t a fan of the taters they was too big of chunks for me. When we went to pay all the waitress would talk to my daughter and where so nice. The best part it feels like a small town in there, no one was a stranger and all so happy and pleasant. Definitely will be back”
