“Lovely room with clean sheets and bathroom, staff was polite and helpful, booking was easy and check-in took less than a few minutes. Bed was comfortable, the hotel itself is tucked away in some trees and the fall foliage was in it's full glory during our stay! Couple minutes drive from a target, waffle house, gas stations and we got pizza delivered to the room for dinner. Highly recommend for any stay duration, very worth the money!”

“We came to The Woodlands for the weekend it was our first time here. As soon as we checked in James took care of us and was so heart warming and welcoming! The next day my Husband went down to the lobby to have a few drinks at the bar right next to check in and James was there and was very attentive and friendly. Our last day checking out we had the pleasure of seeing James once more to check us out and I can’t express how much his hospitality meant to us here at The Hyatt and The Woodlands, I don’t always leave reviews, but thanks to James we want to give 5 stars for giving our trip and even more positive impact on this trip. “The service was great. The rooms could use some sprucing, the decor is a bit aged. The breakfast was good, the team worked well together. I believe her name was Tiffany, she was doing a stellar job delegating. The bar staff was very efficient. Chelsea was great, very hospitable and knowledgeable. Kathy at the front desk was beyond helpful. So pleasant and did not make me feel burdened. I would absolutely stay here again.”

“I love this hotel! My stay was very luxurious, clean and every amenity was available for use. The room itself was decorated very well and very functional for working and relaxing. I love that there's an indoor pool and jacuzzi and access to a washer/dryer to wash my clothes during my visit. I was able to use the computer to print with great ease. Hot breakfast was available, but my only suggestion to offer other meat options other the pork and having a small amount of vegan cheese available upon request. I was very limited to what I could eat to ensure a hearty meal because the main options were pork.”

“This is the first place I can actually remember living. My parents moved into Shangri-La trailer park when I was around two or three years old and they stayed there until we moved to Neil’s Crossing in Fuquay, when I was around six years old. I have some of the fondest memories of my life in Shangri-La My first best friend, a little boy named Raymond - lived right next-door. We played G.I. Joe’s and He-Man every day until Mama would call me in for dinner. Down the way from us was a little girl named Melissa who also became one of my best friends and I kept in touch with her all her life. She and I used to collect a little Monarch caterpillars- putting them in paper envelopes and sellIng them to our neighbors. We would go door-to-door thinking in our little five year old minds that people there would actually want them, and you know what? They did. They would pay us a dime for each caterpillar. :) I remember making snowcones outside with a Snoopy snowcone machine, I remember my Michael Jackson poster on my sliding closet doors. I remember meeting a bunch of other neighborhood kids and making a playhouse in a bamboo forest on one of the streets of the community. I will always remember how exciting it felt to divvy up the rooms in that bamboo glade. I remember my dad building me and my little sister a blue and silver metal swingset where we would we play our days away. Watching the Muppets on our living room TV, looking at my dad’s bookcase with all of the Stephen King novels. Seeing Drew Barrymore’s flame framed face- at the time she was a girl not much older than me- on the book jacket for Firestarter. I remember adopting a sweet tabby cat there that I named Jason, who I later realized was female. The sweet memories I have of Shangri-La, I will cherish forever.”

“The location is great! Only 7 minutes from the airport! Staff at front desk were very helpful! Got there with my wife after I picked her up and went straight to this hotel, we checked in but the room we got smelled like mold and the thermostat in the room didn’t work! Went to front desk and the staff right away upgraded me and moved me to another room! The room was good the bed was comfortable and the pillows as well, AC was working find. The hotel looks and feels a bit old but The room looked clean! In general I was happy with my stay! For one night and needed something close to the airport it worked great!”

“I absolutely love this donut shop! I moved out to this area a couple months ago and found them! My younger brothers favorite thing was getting donuts for my family so I wanted to keep the tradition going. The donuts are so so fresh and every flavor they have is so freaking fantastic. I know my brother would approve. The lady who works there already knows me now and I feel bad I don't know her name but she is great! Love coming in and seeing her! “Me and my husband just spent three nights at this location. And it was absolutely amazing, we're looking for a getaway for our 4 year anniversary. This place exceeded all of our expectations, and it doesn't hurt that it's absolutely breathtaking. We were given more privacy than we needed. but yet anything that you needed they were right there if you needed help with anything. All the amenities were amazing from the bar in the game room to the pool and of course the beautiful lake. The bedrooms were big and more than what we expected. And everything was very clean. We were looking forward to this experience and we are so happy that we did it. We would recommend this to any of our friends or family. It's so much better than a hotel. And hands down we will be visiting again.I want to say thank you to Mark and Kathy for being excellent host and for sharing your beautiful home with us. You helped us create an anniversary that we will not forget.”
