“This is a " 1 of a kind " walk with beautiful trails and plenty of picture perfect moments. I strongly encourage you to visit! It's a little out of the way, but that's what makes it better than most state parks. Few people and very clean!”

“Super cool little neighborhood park, playground, and pond! The playground was mostly shaded and was modern equipment. Had three different slides and five different creative ways to climb up to the second level. Our three-year-old really enjoyed himself here! 😁👍👍 They also had a large pond with a dock and paved pathways all the way around it! Very nice park area with flags and also another memorial area honoring those who died in 9/11. Very well done. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍👍”

“Brady Hughes worked with us to the best of his ability in order to get us to the closing table. Long story made short, things were not handled as they should have been on the front end by the bank so when we called to let Brady know, he listened to everything we had to say, put forth an honest effort to understand our situation and got us the result that worked out best for all parties. Brady is a great guy! Hope everyone else has the fortune of closing with him or getting him on the phone when you have a problem.”

“There are two playgrounds located in an enclosure that's somewhat shaded. The playground was great! One is for 2 to 5 year olds and the other for older kids. The ground is squishy in case of falls, and well maintained.”

“The park was great for watching my niece play her 1st game of tee ball or softball. The reason I did not give 5 stars is when my family & I first arrived we paid at gate & noticed there were no signs stating which # is each field nor did anyone at gate ask if we knew which field to go to & when my sister asked someone who worked at field he did not answer due to the fact he almost ran into my sister who said excuse me 1st & still was ignored & no apology for this employee who was in such a hurry that he almost knocked her down. As I watched this employee continue walking fast, he went up to someone & shook there hand & talked w/ this person just for a minute or 2 then casually walk away & still did not acknowledge my sister who was needing help. I told her forget him as I walked back to gate for assistance. They also did not let coolers in but let people set up pop up tents & chairs. We did not see a water fountain or any of there vendors walking around selling water &/or drinks until we were leaving & noticed ice cream man set up by front gate but was not there when we arrived. We also noticed only 2 O’Boys but maybe there were more that we just didn’t notice.”

“Serene, beautiful and a rare boating experience that is almost entirely under a canopy of trees. If you must speak, keep your voice low for the best wildlife viewing experiences. There are currently no boats to rent at this park. For now, all paddlers BYOB. (B for boat, NOT beer.) A short trail marked with 73 buoys, you should use a leisurely pace for optimal enjoyment. You can pack your snacks and water very lightly.”

“This is a great park. The amenities were were well maintained. There was a tennis court, and areas to grill. Reservation's may be required for large gatherings or use of some features or amenities. The playground was well liked by my daughter. If I recall correctly there was two separate playgrounds, and a large sheltered area, capable of hosting maybe 25 people or more. Several stationary charcoal grills including one extra large grill are located adjacent to the shelter, or other picnicking areas.”

“This is easily one of the best activities in Raleigh. It is a decent hour or so walk around the entire grounds. NC State does a wonderful job with the gardens, they have separate areas for different geographic regions and for different styles of plants. A must visit multiple times a year because the view is always different!”
