“I walk to clear my mind and this place is very peaceful and there's usaly nothing going on so you can just listen to your music and enjoy walking i also skateboard here often if you're into skating this isn't a bad place to ride besides on the weekends due to heavy foot traffic there's a few hills that are terrifying if you're looking for an adrenaline rush. Overall I love coming here by far my favorite place around here”

Its a clean park for kids, they have different structure for older kids compare to other local parks which are good for physical strength. Would love to visit again and on entrance there is a board where you can see which events are taking place in current month.”

“This splash pad is amazing. $2 to get in accompanying adult is free. So many water toys on huge concrete pad. Plus a regular park right beside it. Plenty of picnic tables for lunch. A snack bar that sells sodas, chips, candy and ice cream. Missed this year due to Covid. We drive 20 minutes from garner to go. It’s so much fun!”

Additionally, there is a paved trail that walks adjacent to the asphalt road and meets up with a wooded trail further down. Very scenic and full of wildlife, as well as informational with the signs from NCSU about the area.”

“Another terrific Preserve by TLC. Seven miles of one way shared mountain bike/hiking trails. One foot traffic only 0.9 mile loop around two small ponds. Trails are a great mix of meadows, pine forest, creek crossings and hardwoods. Trail connects to the Clayton River Walk Greenway (about 3.5 miles from the parking area). Closed when wet. Parking area is tiger tight, no privy and no parking along the roadway.”
