“It's a decent store. It's well lit and has a large variety of products. Novelty items are of well made materials and reputable companies. Has a large selection of fountain beverages. Also large selection of fresh hot coffee and hot chocolate beverages. Has a selection of slushy product and a clean hot food section . Gas is of the average cost for the times. Same for cigarettes too. 7-Eleven is a little higher on a few more products than some of the other stores.”

“I love Walgreens and this stores setup is beautiful and easily navigated. I visit this location monthly depending on the deals they have running. The main reason I enjoy Walgreens is because I can deposit cash on my chime card with out a fee. After my first deposit I learned that you can only do $1,000 a day, in two deposits of $500 each. Today when I came in the store I spoke to a very sweet young lady cashier who told me she had to call her manager to come do a large deposit, the manager was very quick to come up to the front. After the cashier and myself explained that I wanted to do 2 deposits of $500 equally to $1,000. The long gray headed lady manager, who's name I did not get, proceeded to say that I could only do $500 a day and I would have to come back another day to do another $500. I explained that I had been doing $1,000 for awhile now at this same location. She then proceeded to say that someone would get in trouble for doing that. However she did let the cashier try and the two deposits of $500 did go through! I did not say anything to the manager because she immediately walked away, i told the cashier i was sorry for any inconvenience. when I got home, I looked up the policy and it is ok to do two deposits of $500a day...I just don't want anyone to get in trouble for doing it like the manager said...maybe she was having a bad day I am not sure but as I business owner I wanted to reach out. I will still continue my business here. Not really complaining just simply trying to clear up any confusion anyone has with chime and Walgreens in the future.”

“Their gas tasted sour which is rare for this area. . As the only gas taster in the Albemarle area I think I know good gas. It had a oily Fininsh with a bright aftertaste. I would recommend it with a steak or if your fancy Unicorn ribs.”

“So..... This will be my 2nd review for this store. I moved to WinstonSalem about 3.5 months ago from Florida ( Where Customers Are Last)!! I first met Sierra the pharmacist, As soon I walked in the door she just knew who I was by only speaking to me 1 time by phone..she recognized my voice immediately, we hit it off..she is GREAT and knew every answer to my questions getting familiar with a new state and new Walgreens, she is beyond just a pharmacist!!! She then introduced me to Abi who is also a pharmacist he went above and beyond transferring my scripts from Florida without a hitch he even called my Dr. to make sure I received all my refills!! Then there is Glenna and Nicole who greets me like they have known me for years, both are Extremely Personable and not to mention helpful in every way, Nicole knows my voice as soon as I say hello on the phone and mind you she's only spoke to me 2 times by phone, walking into Walgreens on Waughton St. is not a chore but a monthly visit and catch up..they are all truly beyond remarkable and everyone in N.C. needs to know this is the best pharmacy in WinstonSalem and I'm more then fortunate to receive # 1 service from Sierra,Abi,Glenna,Nicole and would like the Walgreens Corporate Office to know I demand they all receive a raise ASAP!!! You all rock!!!!”

“This dollar general SAVED me. I had been traveling back from a ministry event and my car broke down in their parking lot. I live over an hour away from here and my phone was gunna die before I could even call for help. I came walking into the building with tears running down my face, my phone dead. One of the wonderful ladies who worked here came right to me, let me use her charger, and I had no money so she bought me a drink. She let me walk around the store to calm down and call my dad while it poured down rain outside. I would have been lost without her in a place I’ve never been before. Thank you Dollar General for hiring such beautiful people I hope she is having a blessed day.”

“Nick the CRS is very friendly and nice! Today I was in the middle of a panic attack during pumping my gas and he helped me finish it out. I have bad anxiety about gas stations and I had to fill up. Nick was SO nice to come and help me while he was changing the trash bags. He even said he is there weekdays if I ever need anymore help. “I'm not certain when the reviewer below (above maybe?) visited the store because there is only one employee who smokes and HE doesn't do so in the middle of the store. The owners have made great strides to overcome the stigma of the area (and this reviewer below) it's in and has done a great job. The owner has added a new variety of snacks, including LOTS of healthy options, and has worked to brighten up the outside so customers feel safe. He has also talked extensively with customers about upgrades and changes coming soon, including a fast food restaurant that is welcoming of all religious cultures (based on how the food is prepared and cooked). Kudos to all of the employees, all of whom are nice people and do a good job. Can you help your clientele? No, especially in a low income area, but the store and employees do their best to welcome everyone.”
