“Decent selection of wines at a reasonable price. Friendly staff. Great view of the creek off the back porch! A good choice for a Date Night. Be sure to try the weekly tastings. FYI: due to staffing shortages, you need to order at the front, not at the bar itself.”

Olmsted Community Church

Address: 7853 Main St, Olmsted Falls, OH 44138, USA

Church

“I am reviewing this church as a wedding vendor: This was a beautiful, gorgeous, historic church and perfect for us to say our marriage vows there. We attend another church, which some may call a mega-church because of the huge congregation. There is no altar, or aisle… it’s more like a stage and an auditorium. While we love our church, we wanted something with a little more tradition. We wanted to stand where thousands of people have said their vows over the last 100 years. This was the perfect fit for us. Rev. Ron was wonderful. He didn’t know us very well, but he made our ceremony very warm and personal. We had a packed church, and I imagine there weren’t many dry eyes. The church assigns a coordinator, and we worked with Debby. She was helpful, organized and efficient. That hardly covers it- she was a professional and everything went smoothly. Every wedding ceremony needs a Debby- I didn’t have to worry at all that things would go perfectly! The organist, Corbin, was really delightful. He worked with us to select our music and played beautifully on wedding day. That being said, this was a very expensive church. The total was around $1250- separate payments made to Reverend, the church, Debby, Corbin, and custodial. We aren’t members, so I’m sure that’s why. The church is also not very flexible on certain things like music, readings, decorations, or the exit. They don’t allow rice, birdseed, petals, biodegradeable confetti… nothing that could be considered a slip hazard. The other cons would be that the church is in a part of Olmsted Falls that experiences high train traffic and the parking lot is small. If a train is coming through, traffic can back up pretty far. That being said, Debby made sure to warn us of this and told us to spread the word to our family and friends. Overall, this was a perfect choice for us. It’s a lovely church and we are so proud to have become Mr. and Mrs. at Olmsted Community!”
