I loved my experience doing Pilates with Deb! I started with her when I was 14 weeks pregnant with my first baby and had no prior experience with Pilates. I had weekly sessions with her throughout the entire rest of my pregnancy, and it was great. She was very patient with this newbie, gave clear explanations and corrections, and more importantly, genuinely cared about me and my baby. I continued with postnatal Pilates after my daughter was born, and it really helped me recover and get back on my feet faster. I can’t recommend Deb highly enough! She seriously is the best!
I just started pilates with Deb a couple months ago. I have worked out with personal trainers in the past doing various forms of exercise. Pilates is new to me, and Deb is a wealth of information on total body performance and technique. It's important to have someone always checking your form so you get the right benefit from exercise as well as prevent injury. I enjoy my duet sessions with her because I always learn something new, feel myself getting stronger in my core, and know of all the things I've done in the past, this is the BEST form of exercise for me as I age. So thankful to have found DK Pilates!
My weekly sessions with Debbie have completely transformed the way I move in the world! I came to her with chronic low back pain from many years of running and not only has she helped me realign my body for better performance but has also helped me develop a strong core, healthy spine and better balanced large muscle groups.
There is no one size fits all here. Her expertise combined with a creative approach makes every session spot on for what you need that day or week.
On top of that, she is an absolute joy to be with! Her positive vibe and generous spirit make everyone feel welcome and comfortable no matter where they are in their personal journey.
Practicing Pilates over the past year with Deb has made a huge difference in my over-all appearance, core strength and recovery from injuries. I have had several injuries which Deb has modified sessions to improve my mobility and increase strength resulting in faster healing. Deb has a way of instilling confidence and getting the best out of me during a session. She is knowledgeable due to medical background and continual personal growth. Sessions are fun !!! and I look forward to my weekly Pilates at DK Pilates.
I have been practicing Pilates with Debbie for well over 5 years now. She is knowledgeable, precise and encouraging! There is a huge difference in benefits and growth to doing Pilates individually (or in a duet) with an instructor like Debbie or her partner, Karen, as they watch and correct for the proper form. One of the things that I appreciate most about Debbie is that she is a lifelong learner who loves to share her knowledge and experiences with others, from Pilates to nutrition, holistic remedies and health, posture, and women’s health due to her longtime career as a labor and delivery nurse. Her wealth of knowledge places her far above a typical Pilates instructor and her kind and caring attention is priceless.
