I messaged the department on Facebook and I'm impressed and appreciate that they took the time to watch this officers body camera to check my claims and took my message seriously. The city I grew up in would not have handled it that well. I greatly appreciate their response. This department actually has PR and checks on claims of misconduct which is shocking. But they only allow you to file reports in person. They need to allow you to file reports online like other departments do. They claimed most departments don't offer this but they are incorrect on this. I know because I worked in insurance and dealt with PDs daily where my customers filed reports online. It is very very common with police departments and Garfield should catch up with the rest. But thank you for actually responding and following up.”

“There is a lot more to being a police officer than writing traffic tickets. Those giving 1 star reviews were doing something in the wrong and got caught and are upset about it. The negative reviews don't reflect the station or police and staff as a whole. Yes it sucks to get a ticket and sometimes it seems like a cheap shot but at the end of the day be thankful we have really amazing men and women working for us in the Valley. Without going into personal details, when a call went to dispatch for help the Valley View police responded and were at the scene in less than 5 minutes. Every officer and policeman who I spoke with was very caring, concerned and clearly had training in handling tough situations. They didn't just throw regulation or follow the books. They were compassionate and did what you would hope a police officer should do. Thank you to all of the Valley View Police and dispatch team.”
