Sauder Village

Love the history and demonstrations. The location is clean with pots of bathrooms for kids who constantly need to go. And don't forget to check out the ice cream shop and the new candy shop in the 1920s strip. Yum!

It was a very pleasant surprise. Did not expect all the houses and business with a historian to explain what life was like in the time people lived and worked. The property is well maintained nice walking paths. The museum is larger than expected it seams to just keep going and had a great time line of the Sauder family. Will definitely return with the grandkids.

Best historic village I have visited. Artisans in every shop. Organist in the church. Excellent buffet restaurant. Great little Bakery. We even watched an old-fashioned baseball game. Highly recommend for couples and families.

This place is a home-schooling dream if your kids are young enough. They have a lot of different little exhibits and shops that reinforce lessons being taught at home. The conductor and engineer of the train were the nicest people. It really made my son's day to be able to sit beside the conductor on one of the tours. On a more personal note for me, the church has amazing acoustics. You could just feel how amazing God's presence would have been back when it was full of people. If you're not afraid of singing in public, you have to go in there and try it. It is absolutely gorgeous.

I love this village. I remember going as a kid when I was younger. When I lived in Ohio a few years ago, I had a membership here and loved every minute I had it.

I love the trades, villages and living history. I have even taken a coopering class here. Walked out with a wonderful bucket.
