“My attempt at acquiring a loan at one of the large banks was denied. But, Dave Wittkamp, President of Spring Valley Bank was personally concerned about arranging a loan for me for a new home. The paperwork was taken care of by the very efficient, professional staff and within 10 days, I was closing on my new home! I would confidently recommend Spring Valley Bank in Wyoming, Ohio to anyone who likes to work with people who really care about their customers!”

“I started with Nico at Fitness Physiques about 3 years ago. First only once a week for Group Pilates. Then I added a weekly hour of private instruction for personal attention to my particular balance, strength and cardio needs. Then for fun, about a year ago I started dropping in (when my work schedule permits) for a group Bodhi Suspension circuit class which pushes me to my limits. This past year, Nico added a four-person class for cycling and Core Align balance and strength class which I do once a week. I have a blast in each session thanks to Nico's positive and attentive way of working. I feel the benefits in all I do the rest of the day and week. Can't wait to celebrate my 65th birthday at PF by Nico G.”

“This is seriously an outstanding fitness experience. If you're tired of the gym scene and looking for a class with well laid out fitness programming; ample personal attention to scale your workout up or back (depending on your experience); and a vast variety of full body workouts in a community who enjoys to be outdoors and workout, look no further. I am thrilled that I found Kevin and ELMNTL Fitness. Kevin is a great coach and a genuine dude. When you meet him it will become obvious why he has such a loyal fitfam. GREAT COACH! GREAT PEOPLE! GREAT WORKOUT!”

“Joe well understood my objectives when I joined. He had me go through an assessment based on which he built a program. And over the course of 3 months, he helped me progress on my goals by showing me a broad range of exercises that were new to me. By implementing these to my daily workout routine, on top of my strongfit sessions, I clearly saw a progression, and I feel I now have the tools to keep progressing on my own.”

“Breakthrough is outstanding. I go there and it has helped me get stronger, lose weight, and feel better. My son, a high school athlete, also trains there and it has made him quicker, faster, and stronger. I'm a HUGE fan and would highly recommend any of the four trainers I have personally worked with. Their small group classes in the mornings and evening are also very good.”

“I have been to several other gyms and fitness clubs. None compare to this LT. The staff is SO SUPER FRIENDLY! I see the same staff members each day/week and they are just so nice-always saying hi and stuff. The gym area is so clean and I love that they do not allow bags upstairs in the workout area. The locker room is nice because it has a sitting area with a TV, multiple hair dryers, changing rooms at the end of each locker set, and is generally super clean! The slides both inside and outside in the pool areas are a blast! My trainer, Robbie M, is such a good trainer and I have seen so much progress since Ive been working out with him!”

“I'm writing from the perspective of someone entirely new to yoga. Aside from having watched a DVD or two & of course the wise teachings of Jedi Master Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back, I'd never actually practiced. But after years of injuries from running, rowing & other sports, I'd been looking to vary my range of physical activity & in the process, expose myself to something new & engaging. After exploring options online, I settled on Main Street Yoga for a number of reasons. Initially, it was the convenient Over-the-Rhine location, just a short walk from my office downtown. Second, was the number of classes. As a beginner, I still had friends & family who were very much into yoga & I knew the complexity of some of the movements & that I would have a long way to go. I wanted something that I'd feel comfortable & be able to follow along, where I would not feel completely hopeless. Just moderately. And lastly, I wanted something affordable. As I was just getting into it, I had no idea if it was something I'd take to, so I didn't want to spend a fortune. Main Street Yoga offers a number of classes suited for beginners. It's located on the third floor of a space that doubles as an art gallery & benefits from a good bit of natural light. I began attending a series of classes on restorative yoga, because as a beginner, I figured it'd be best to start slowly, with not too much movement, where the focus would likely be on holding the poses & learning to breathe. I'm still doing these classes periodically, as I've found they do help in a number of ways, but I've also moved on to Viyasa Flow, which is considerably more involved. The teachers are patient, attentive & nurturing. They'll ask you if you have any injuries or anything else they might need to be aware of to facilitate your practice. Yes, there's a bit of that "Reach out with your feelings" stuff & I was admittedly disappointed that I will likely never learn to levitate rocks ala Luke Skywalker, but I'm still getting something out of my weekly visits. There's soothing music playing throughout the hour or more you're on the floor. And as other reviewers may note, there's also a considerable sense of community at this studio, that I'm not sure exists at a place where hot power yoga is practiced. I do plan to find out at some point, but I'm still a long way from standing on my head while dripping with sweat. While I don't recall seeing any Groupons, they do have specials for new visitors & their rates seemed comparable to other area studios. For beginners or more advanced yoga enthusiasts, Main Street Yoga is well worth your time.”
