This place was magnificent! The historical preservation was beautiful. The halls were lined with amazing history and our room was so pleasant. We had the peacock room on the third floor and it seems we had the floor to ourselves. The room was so clean and the bed was super soft. The breakfast was in the basement, which was atmospheric, like a dungeon. I can't end this without talking about how soft the towels were..😳😳😳
We can't recommend this place enough.
This place is BEAUTIFUL! my husband reserved a room for a night just so I could have stunning photos of me getting ready before our wedding! I'll post pics when I get them 😊
I had a quick breakfast (cup of potatoes and a few slices of potatoes) and it was quite tasty!
Fell in love with the bathroom, super updated! White subway tile, shower and separate whirlpool tub... STUNNING!
I arrived late in the night and the front desk attendant was so sweet!
Could go on FOREVER about literally a few hours lol if you're reading this... Just book it!
This place feels like home. My family came here originally for a Christmas get away. We liked it so much My brother decided to have his dinner rehearsal here and it was so lovely and beautiful. It’s very strange but the history, the staff, and the rooms feel like a second home. The staff was so friendly, telling us about stories, their family. Very personable. The history of the building is quite interesting if you visit, make sure to ask them. I would sometimes need to switch to nightshift and the nightshift lady let me keep her company with endless Shirley temples and lots of hot tea! I can’t wait to go back and visit them. Highly recommend this place.
Absolutely stunning room that took me back to my childhood. So clean, so comfortable, wonderful staff. Slept like a baby in the huge canopy bed. Bathroom was very large with separate room with door for the toilet and great shower over tub. A table in the bathroom for all our cosmetics and toiletries. Huge sink in the bathroom and smaller sink for making drinks in the bedroom. Wonderful buffet breakfast in the gorgeously decorated basement. Took a tour of the basement after breakfast…very entertaining. I would travel to Mentor just to stay here. We were at the end of a 2000 mile round trip from the Midwest to Massachusetts and back when we stayed here. Of the six places we stayed during our trip, this was the very best of all. I will be back and stay more than one night. Eating at the Manhattan Deli down the road for my lox and bagel fix.
Beautiful place, love the gorgeous rooms and the history. And despite being a historic mansion, the whole place is immaculate! Spacious and comfortable. Pleasant staff too. Really can’t beat it for the price. Can’t wait to come back!
