“This church played a major role in the anti-slavery movement that preceded the Civil War. The stern original interior of the church was completely remodeled in the 1920s to have the soothing, elegant simplicity which one sees inside the building today. When First Church was built it was the largest meeting hall west of the Allegheny Mountains. In these early years First Church was the focal point of the church community, Oberlin College, and the town of Oberlin. All three were one and the same. Hence the church was referred to as The Meeting House rather than as a church. The congregation still refers to it as The Meeting House even though this building has a much less central role in the community today. This review only scratches the surface of the interesting history, both fact and legend, which a visitor to First Church can savor and enjoy. See the photos provided above by an earlier reviewer.”

“My filling fell out. I was not a patient of Dr. Satterfields but had planned on signing up. My regular dentist was closed so I decided to give it a shot. I called at 8 am., they got me in at 9:30. Fixed the filling and I was back to work by 10:30. The ladies were great. I am NOW a patient and am looking forward to taking my child there next month.”

“Always a smiling face waiting to ring you up. Gas prices are lower than the corner and even lower if you buy a gift card from Walmart and use it at the pump. Those 3 cents a gallon really add up. The only thing that I extremely dislike is the drive area. It is oddly positioned.”

“I LOVE Campus Safety!! Many of the officers are so sweet and ready to help whenever you need them. The Supervisors are very caring and sensitive to student needs. Communications/Dispatchers are also really great. They definitely need more love on campus for all that they do for us.”
