“Wonderful campground and quite reasonable on price. They are mostly seasonal but there are several daily sites right next to the pond. Spots are a little tight, but manageable. Staff was friendly and the Wibit in the pond provided lots of fun for the day for the kids.”

“Nice campground. Well maintained. The pools are nice. Small area inside where you can buy alcohol and sandwiches and ice cream. Bathrooms are okay. They do have continuous hot water and good pressure. The campground was quiet.Fair prices. No hidden fees. The site we originally were supposed to have wasn't quite ready yet I don't think. The septic drain was way too high and capped off. And there was a large amount of rocks in the parking area. But they were able to move us to a different spot that was very nice.”

“It's so beautiful and relaxing here. You can sit on the beach area or swim/wade in the water. The states and small light house is neat. There are small little shells and people fish there as well. We loved walking out on the rock pier as well. It's a bit spooky but so fun. Definitely a place to check out if u like relaxing. Also, there are restaurants near by, a ball field and a small park.”

“The Resort at Erie Landing is amazing! The staff, the grounds, the accommodations and the management are all wonderful. Jen goes above and beyond to help make sure we have the best time. This was our third year going and we are already planning to book for next year. The resort has so much to offer for all ages. The entertainment and the activities are all so much fun. They really take the time and care to ensure that every camper has a positive experience. You can tell that they are putting money back into the resort to improve everything from the cottages to adding more amenities. Staying here is a must ! Thank you Erie Resort!”

“This place is my happy place!. My fiances family owns a lot up here and we visit every summer. This place is very well maintained and managed nicely. The have a nice little gift shop in their office where you check in and an onsite bar, which is great if you just want to relax. It is clean and there is never any rif raff going on. Everyone is friendly and you can catch just about any type of fish up here. There is a spot to clean your fish and a nice public shower and restrooms....or if you gotta go there are out houses to use as well LOL !!! If you need a nice lot to rent or a get away this is perfect and right outside of sandusky and Port Clinton. My fiance and I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and will be back!! Thank you!”

“Absolutely wonderful and far exceeded our expectations. My boyfriend and I came up for the weekend for my birthday and booked Cabin 3. We walked in, walked out, and walked back in to try to understand how it seemed so big inside and small outside lol. Queen bed, couch, TV and dresser. A little table with 2 chairs and full kitchen, full stocked with dishes, a stove and full sized microwave, coffepot and FULL SIZE FRIDGE. The bathroom was smaller but no different than most hotels. Cute decorations too and clean. I do not understand the few bad reviews this place has. It is a camp ground. I think the bad reviewers were expecting 5 star hotel fancy at a small campground cottage. It was not fancy or super updated but it felt like a home away from home. Everything worked as it should. The camp neighbors were very friendly, kids playing and well kept area. Management was nice and answered any questions we had. It was very quiet at night, and that AC unit kept us nice and comfy for sleep. I hope to be able to stay here each time we visit. Next time, we'll bring the kids, since this is obviously a family friendly camp ground. Thankyou guys for being a big part of my wonderful birthday.”

“Nice quiet spot to pull over, park your cart and eat lunch or dinner and chat with your friends. I did not see any washrooms. The views of the harbor and docked boats were great. Plenty of Geese in the area, so watch your step. A few people were fishing in the area. There were some tables and a pavilion nearby.”

“Gorgeous open dog park with plenty of room for your pups to run. Good thing about this one is most owners pick up after their dog. It was well kept and clean. Thank you too all the dog owners out there who clean up after their dogs.”

“A small day use state park that is mostly used for launching boats. But there is a very large pier to fish off of and a pavilion that can be rented out. The pavilion is very large and could accommodate a large group. There is a rocky beach next to the pavilion. I don't believe you are allowed to swim... but it provides an excellent spot for walking along the water and taking pictures. There is a small playground close by and plenty of picnic tables located in the shade of the numerous trees. There is also a well maintained restroom close to the picnic tables. Although this is primarily a boat launch park, the playground and picnic tables will provide a nice break on a hot day. And finally, the parking area a very large to allow for many boat trailers to park in!”

“I recommend a trip through the Butterfly House. It is such an unusual experience that it’s worth it. The variety of butterflies is very impressive, so you’re likely to see something new or different. My three and five-year-old got bored and were ready to go before any of the adults in our group. I think they were hoping that a butterfly would land on their hands, but they had trouble holding still… so that did not happen. There is also a large shop with lots of butterfly – themed items. If you have friends or relatives who like butterflies, you are likely to find something here for them. Our kids really wanted to visit the toy section and it was hard to avoid.”

“We fished and rented through Sea Breeze. The fishing charter and trailer were both great. We had a slow first day and the captains decided to try some trolling to give us a better chance of catching fish. We ended up having a great second day. (See pics) We rented trailer 405 while we fished on Erie for a couple days. The trailer was great for our group of 8. The main living area was terrific! Spacious and plenty of seating for all of us. There are three bedrooms with two twins in each of them. Two slept on couches. Unfortunately, we lost partial power and we lost the air conditioner for the last day, but they were willing to move us if we wanted to. You'll want to bring in your own water to drink. The water comes into the place in a garden hose and those can deteriorate over time and release things in the water. The RV park itself was nice and the people were nice to work with. The gas station is across the street with the Wild Wings restaurant and lounge. There is also a Dollar General across the road that has a lot of things that you may have forgotten for your trip.”

“Brought our Fifth Wheel to Harbor Landing based on a friends recommendation for a weekend spot to visit Cedar Point. I have to admit we were very skeptical at first. There were a fair number of older mobile homes being demolished when we arrived. It was late in the day so we decided we would be at the park all day and it wouldn't bother us. The owner assured us that this work would not be done on the weekend and it was not. After a trip to Cedar Point we spent Sunday at Harbor Landing - met the owners who had just taken over the campground who said they were starting a lot of work to update the feel of the park. We stopped by again in late October and spoke with the owners again and wow what a difference a month made! Looking forward to going up again this year! Very reasonably priced! Great sites! Nice people! When will on line booking be available!?”

“I have stayed at this marina multiple times over the last several years and had an enjoyable time on each visit. I never ran into anyone whom was disrespectable to myself or my guests and we were treated well by the proprietors. They have been recently updating their facilities.”

“A great place to go to. To visit with my future Brother In-law and his Family. Family. There lot is nice. Always have a great time with him and his wife and children and their dog. A Fantastic Place to drive a long with his golf cart. The other people that have campers in Paradise Arces Campground are always friendly. And the dogs are friendly also. They have lots of entertainment there at the campgrounds, party's and live bands. Always look forward to visiting future family at Paradise Acres Campground.”

“My wife and I came here for our first visit and had a nice time. It cost $12 for each of us, which at first, might seem like a lot but when you get inside and start exploring, you realize how much care goes into the gardens and how much upkeep they require and you leave feeling like the $12 is a bargain. When you go in the welcome center to pay, they give you walking tour pamphlet that does a very nice job taking you around the gardens and informing you on what you are looking at. At times, it has you criss cross around the lower gardens which is actually nice as each time you go across, you seem to see more that you didn't see the first time. There are some unique plants here from dawn redwoods, yoshino cherry trees started from the cherry trees in DC, and a ton of different bonsai trees with one dating back to 1930 and many others from the 40s, 50s all the way up to the 2000s. We spent probably an hour and 45 minutes here walking around and a few times said that we'd like to come back in the spring time to see the peonies and iris's bloom. We are also hoping to buy one of the redwood seedlings the next time there is a sale which happens every three years. If you like the outdoors and want a unique and tranquil setting for a wedding, they also do those here as well. There was one the day we were there and the setting for it was very nice! If you like plants and are looking for a unique place to go see some that are not native to our area, I highly recommend checking Schedel out. It is hard to believe the gardens were once a families yard and hardwork. They did a tremendous job preserving plants and allowing people to see different species of plants they may not otherwise have a chance to see.”
