“Before you stay… get an understanding of the house. This is not just any Airbnb. The house was constructed specifically for the original owners, so it’s very unique to the property and the tall slim owner. For anyone wanting to experience the uniqueness and beauty of a Frank Loyd Wright house, this is for you! We stayed with our two adult daughters and thoroughly loved the experience. We especially liked viewing the sketchbook of the original owner, who was an artist and teacher. And the staff was wonderfully responsive to any questions or needs we had. Downtown Cleveland is just a short drive away for any museums or activities you need. Restaurants and grocery store are nearby. BUT be aware that if you are a light sleeper, you will hear the highway noise. Just bring a pair of earplugs and you’ll be fine.”

“Update: The Shrine continues to be a place of peace and an opportunity for grace to envelope the visitors. Feeling lonely or depressed? Come visit Jesus in the tabernacle, the Saint’s in the reliquaries and be filled with hope and joy. They now have a bake shop every Friday! Stunning architecture and deep wooden interiors will please any wanderer. Immersion into a chapel with relics from 850 saints, mostly first class, brings a rush of hope to all the weary and a pounce of joy to everyone who enters. They are always hosting events to excite your Faith journey and you can be assured of a gentle, evangelizing experience for those who are still seeking. The Catholic gift shop is the best in Ohio. Pretzel Festival Veterans Memorial Playground

“LarderRoom...First time visiting Veterans Memorial Pretzel Festival in Germantown, OH. This town takes their Pretzels seriously. One of the vendors, a clear local favorite, had a continuous 3 hour line just to get a Pretzel. I love Pretzels but settled for a delicious grilled porkchop. It was amazing. Also tracked down some great beers and spiral Sliced (ribbon) fried potatoes loaded with cheese. Overall, it was a great time and for a good cause. I will certainly be coming back back! Note. Free admission. Beers $5. Food average $10-$15 and waters/Sodas $1-$3. Enjoy!”

They also have a neat personal collection of Leica cameras! It's handicap accessible and you'll need about 1.5 hours. This place has great art, in and outside, so go and enjoy!”

Wright B Flyer Inc.

Address: 10550 N Springboro Pike, Miamisburg, OH 45342, USA

Museum

“What a fantastic place! My wife and I expected yet another Wright Brothers museum, but instead got this nerdy-fun interactive experience with experimental aircraft designers, pilots, and enthusiasts. They have a museum, but it's more than that. They have built two Wright 'B' Flyers are "look alike" experimental aircraft, designed to look like the original Wright 'B' Flyer but with modern parts and systems so they are safer to fly (they also take passengers up for flights...though we're not sure how or when they do that). They have two aircraft: one that is FAA approved for flight, and the other is still being worked on. They let us climb up into the cockpit and experience what it's like/take some photos. All-in-all a wonderful experience and just the kind of place you'd want to explore in Dayton, Ohio... I feel like it's true to the spirit of the Wright Brothers' experimentation and flying in a way you can't get from just any museum.”

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of that garden with the vibrant greenery in stark contrast to the red of the torii gate and Japanese maples. Coupled with the well maintained bridges and the stream with waterfall, the place oozes tranquility and beauty in a format that is hard to come across in Ohio of all places. The additional bonsai tree collection, multitude of flower gardens, and lithophane museum make this an absolute hidden gem and wonderful destination to check out!”
