“I attended a special community iftar program at the temple. I found the congregation warm welcoming and open. I look forward to more interfaith dialogue opportunities and hosting the members of the temple to our places of worship and homes. I should add that the iftar was beautifully prepared and was wondering delicious. Each table had a plate of dates for breaking fast. Also thoughtfully a clean place of prayer was set aside.”

“Hector Vega and I created a donor wall. Georgio Sabino III is a contemporary artist whose work explores the intersection of identity, culture, and the urban landscape. Through his use of mixed media, Sabino creates pieces that are both visually striking and thought-provoking. Sabino's work is heavily influenced by his own experiences growing up in a multicultural community. He uses his art to examine the complex relationships between different cultures, and the ways in which they intersect and influence one another. In his pieces, he often incorporates elements of graffiti and street art, as well as traditional art forms, to create a visual language that speaks to the diversity of the communities he represents. One of the key themes in Sabino's work is the idea of the "urban landscape." He is fascinated by the ways in which cities shape our lives and experiences, and how they can be both beautiful and oppressive at the same time. Through his use of bold colors and dynamic compositions, he creates works that capture the energy and chaos of the city, while also hinting at the underlying tensions and conflicts that exist within it. Sabino's work is also deeply personal, with many of his pieces exploring his own experiences of growing up as a person of color in an urban environment. He uses his art as a way to express the complexities of his identity, and to confront the stereotypes and prejudices that he has faced. Overall, Georgio Sabino III is an artist whose work is both visually striking and thought-provoking. Through his use of mixed media and his exploration of themes such as identity, culture, and the urban landscape, he creates pieces that speak to the diversity and complexity of the world around us.”

“I have been a member of Congregation Beth Tikvah for over four decades. In the beginning, the temple was a great place for my daughter to receive religious and Hebrew instruction and my husband and I to meet other couples with similar values and interests. My daughter and grandchildren have grown up. My interests have changed over time. Nothing about this synagogue is static either. Many members and temple staff have come and gone. Nevertheless, the temple remains an anchor in my life. My family friends and my faith have evolved over the years and truly complement my aging self. Looking ahead as well as back over my life, Congregation Beth Tikvah is part of my heart and soul.”
