“I went to Sarah's Pizza in Brookville a couple of weeks ago. Ordered a mini mashed potato pizza, (no bacon), plain cheese pizza, and potato wedges. I didn't love the red sauce on the cheese pizza. It was really bland. But I added some salt to the top, and that seemed to spruce things up quite a bit. The mashed potato pizza was delicious! They don't use green onions, but rather use white onions, which gives the pizza so much more taste! The potato wedges were also delicious! Hot, fresh, and crispy! I decided to pop into What's the Scoop, a treat and ice cream shop, next door. I ended up not getting anything, because I already had the pizza, but it seems like a pretty neat place. They have ice cream nachos, and cotton candy cake, which are rare finds. IYKYK. Not a bad little trip overall!”

“I was very excited to book an overnight retreat for me and my husband and the anticipation was not met with any disappointment. The location along the shores of Lake Erie, with stunning views from our room, the pools, and the on-site dining were exceptional. The lobby was very welcoming and grand and we were met with friendly staff who answered all of our questions both in person and via text, which was very convenient. We appreciated the wonderful on-site amenities including a large and beautiful outdoor pool and cozy hot tub, beautifully laid out bocce, oversized chess board, corn hole, and our personal favorite - deck shuffleboard. The heated indoor pool and hot tub were also second to none, allowing comfort and amazing views, especially at sunset. Staying in a resort where the pools are actually made for swimming was a treat and we appreciated the very generous hours that allowed us to take advantage of all the on-site outdoor activities, including a fantastic dinner at the on-site lounge. Our room while just slightly worn in some ways, was very stylish, spacious, clean, and comfortable. We're so glad that we booked a room with a balcony, as we enjoyed reading and watching the water from the comfort of the outdoor seating. We loved the complimentary bike rentals that allowed us to quickly explore the next door park and enjoy a beautiful morning pedal through town.These types of services make you feel like your stay is extra special. The s'mores package that we received at checkin to use at night around the many patio gas fire pits also made our stay extra special. Even though we live within an hours distance of The Lodge, we feel our stay was well worth the money spent, as we felt like we were on a fantastic vacation without having to travel far. We highly recommend the experience as a quick get away for locals or for those traveling a far distance. We cannot wait to return!”

“I went today for lunch with my nine month old daughter. It was a great experience. The tortilla chips were hot and fresh, the salsa they bring to the table is on the spicy side but I love spicy so it was perfect. I got two asada tacos and two beef tongue tacos. All of it was hot a fresh and the meat portions were huge, which is of course a great plus! Also it was the most tender beef tongue I have ever had! My daughter loved it too. Only *slight* complaint is not enough onions and cilantro comes on the tacos and there’s an extra cost for more. However we definitely will be going back to try more items!”

“I really enjoy the food when I come here. I got the cheesesticks and burger sliders with fresh cut fries. The food was super hot and delicious. My only minor complaint is that there were only one waitress with a trainee and they were running around. I won't hold that against them, but I ran out of water before my food came out and never got anymore. Someone from the back brought the food out and I didn't see my waitress until after I was done eating and they brought the check. Nobody checked if the food was ok after they brought it out so luckily nothing was wrong or missing. Overall, still an enjoyable meal.”

Our entrees were the Patterson Pulled Pork with house-made BBQ sauce ($7.99), a side of tader tots ($1.99) and a 4 oz. Classic Cheeseburger ($5.99) with house made kettle chips. The pulled pork was fat free and very tasty with the house BBQ sauce. The burger was very good with all the fixings. Dawn was very attentive and kept us happy.”

“The manager Lavaun has truly turned the store around. I had an issue with my meal and he definitely fixed the problem. I was so stressed walking into the store with sick kids on my hip and he sure made my day better! The environment was SO SO SO peaceful. I felt extremely welcomed! “I just had to share this: My son’s birthday was today (Sunday) and yesterday (Saturday night) I called to order an ice cream cake. The girl told me they needed 24hr notice in order to have it ready in the morning. “Company policy.” And also they were short staffed as-is. But after we chatted back and forth she said “I’m not supposed to do this, but I’ll see what I can do.” She called back a little later and said she managed to find time and made it! And added some extra decorations too! My brother went to pick it up the next morning and when he brought it home I was SO impressed! I wish I could post a pic here. She did red & blue dots all along the border and had the cookie crumbles! I used to work at Dairy Queen as a teenager, so knowing the effort she had to put into it, just absolutely melted my heart! I didn’t get her name, but I’m planning on finding out to tip her. SO grateful she saved the day!!!”

“Stopped in unknowingly being Rock on the Block night. Bar inside, bar outside, and another for the crowd. Tin Cap is definitely more than just Ciders. They have a nice selection of brews and wine. The apps were really good, the pretzels came with a good amount of garlic butter and enough for dipping, but that queso is tasty. Had a wrap and two tacos, they weren't the star of the show the service was.. You order at the bar, and return when you get a text it's ready .. Which I could barely get to my seat before it was ready, awesome very polite and friendly service. I'll definitely come back out was such a fun place.”
