And as someone who has had negative experiences in the past with psychiatrists who are eager to simply prescribe a pharmaceutical--and so spend very little time learning about your life and particular stressors--it was a huge surprise to have a whole 1-2 hours dedicated to the initial appointments. Now that I am out of a serious episode of depression/anxiety (during pregnancy), my appointments are about 30 minutes each. Dr. Yokell's attentive listening and thoroughness in getting a multi-dimensional picture of how I'm doing have been consistent throughout. Some patients might not care about a physician caring about them; I definitely do, and I sense that from Dr. Yokell. I can tell he's rooting for me and that he will do whatever he can to be available, should I need him. He works with all my other health (both mental and physical) care providers to ensure were doing what best for me. Again, there is just such a thoroughness to it all that I feel strongly supported. It has brought tears of gratitude to my eyes on multiple occasions. Michelle (staff) is so friendly and easy to work with. I'm a fan!”

“The service was quick, the staff friendly and mostly accommodating. My nurses were generally very helpful, compassionate and efficient. I saw 2 doctors that were efficient with my condition in which I had to stay overnight. The food choices were amazing being able to order from local restaurants if your condition allowed. Overall I was treated well while there and was comfortable and at ease. I would say improvements are needed with follow up by hospital. I was referred to an outside specialist to follow up with my condition and was told by doctor my medical records would be transferred to the location, however the specialist said he never received my records so he had nothing to look at and just spoke to doctor. When I called hospital to ask about the records being transferred a few excuses were made instead of just saying “they dropped the ball on their part” But the issue was promptly resolved after that and I’m thankful I’m on the road to a healthy recovery. I would also recommend to not let visitors use patient bathrooms because I had a bathroom emergency and was disappointed that other patient guests were in there for a lengthy time. So checking to see who is in the bathroom should be monitored better. When I did get into bathroom I was in there for 15 min and the nurse staff did not check on me, I thought that was odd because of the condition I had required supervision. But other than that, I would return there if needed because the staff was so friendly.”
