Dewey Hotel Museum

We joined tour late but I looked up what I missed. Interesting antiques throughout. Not much focus given on the building.

Ron Adam’s gave us a tour and he was so friendly and full of knowledge! We loved every single minute with him. The hotel was full of local history. What a jewel. We also had the pleasure of meeting comedian Joe Sears. He was just as precious. Dewey is lucky to have them both!

It was interesting stepping back into time, seeing the historic pieces, hearing stories of how one man who married outside his race and held diverse friendships, overcame obstacles and opposition to help build Dewey and Bartlesville.

I grew up coming here. My mom was a historical seamstress and often worked with the museum. It's a really neat place, full of history. The ladies there were amazing and let us look around d even though we came at closing time.

This hotel gives a glimpse into life in Oklahoma before it was a state. All the rooms are detailed in period correct furnishings and all three floors are open to the public.
