“It's been years since I have stepped into Speedway Grill. Only because it's in a location I don't often pass. I think this diner has been open for at least 30 years. Decided to stop ln for lunch it was a coworker's birthday and that is where she picked. The food was really good and the staff was very friendly. My only complaint is we only have an hour and we had to take most of it to go. The place was packed. The walls are filled with old race car pictures. They do have rootbeer in a frosted mug. I will be back to get one. I saw this gem on the way out, or I would have had a big frosted root beer.”

“Well worth the 10 minute detour off I-40 on the east side of Oklahoma City! Totally lived up to the positive reviews! I had the ribs-my husband had the brisket- both delicious- the spice rub on the ribs was tasty as was the sauce. Plenty to eat if you are hungry (we couldn’t finish it). The people who waited on us were very warm and friendly! It was a beautiful day to sit outside and enjoy our lunch. Just be aware, it’s limited to outdoor seating, which could be tough on a rainy or cold day. Great place- don’t pass it by!”

We got the chicken fried streak sandwich & a chicken strip dinner. Both were really good! Cooked well, not tough either to chew into like you might expect a chicken fried steak sandwich to be. The sides of fries and tater tots were also fresh and crunchy. The guy who brought it out was wearing gloves & was very nice, which is hard to come by these days with service. It wasn’t terribly priced we spent around $24 without tip. It’s just nice to see another drive-in besides your corporate chains that offer up something different & tasty. As long as the service & food stays like this or better we will be repeat customers.”

Get free chips and salsa beforehand and they also have a really good lunch menu that is really cheap. This is a huge sandwich with a sampling of 4 different meats (brisket, balogna,bologna, pulled pork and hot links). The meat was tender and juicy with a great smoke flavor. The bologna was smoked just right with a little "crust" on the outside.The sauce was my favorite. It had just the right amount of sweetness to complement the seasonings and flavor of the meat. Absolutely no disappointments or let downs with my lunch. Will definitely be back again!”
