Metzler Park Recreation Site

Love this place always a fun place to go and enjoy the summer weather

Great place to stay. Flat spots. Park for kids. All the hookups. Dump site. Can't complain.

Just far enough out of the city and into the forest to feel away from it all. Campsites feel secluded and the creek is COLD!

Lovely campsite. Our sites backed onto the woods (#58, 59) and felt private. Quite small though. Just enough room for tent and car. Tent close to firepit. Wood for sale ($10/bundle and good quality, quantity). Water and electrical hookups at each of our sites. No data (cell service). Flush toilets in which most people wore masks. Most people were trying to respect other groups' personal space.
The creek was beautiful and clear/clean. We went for a dip and it was refreshing. Campsites near the creek were more open (less private).
Will likely return to swim in the creek again.

Nice park with a big open field and picnic benches nicely spread out under trees. A real family spot. Serene lush woods and a short path to the swimming hole (which was small and shallow). Refreshing creek.
