An alright place. Not for family kids during the middle of the week and afternoon. As you might see some not requested adult content over there. Go on winter, like after October.
Rooster rock state park is a very beautiful place it is a clothing optional beach. It’s very nice place to go and cool off in the summer heat. When temperatures reach well into the 90s. There are a diverse group Of people who go to this beach.
Came for the Star & Meteor Party but the clouds covered the sky. But the experience was great. Do it again please. We drove 800 miles to be there. The day park allowed the people to spend the night instead of kicking us out after the evening. Very nice park.
Fun and surprisingly large park to stop at. Restrooms were clean, picnic tables, and playground. The steps down to the river were flooded so the hand rail and steps disappeared into the water.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! Granted, it was a windy fall day during this visit, but incredible nonetheless. Lots of mountain cliffs, trees, tall grasses, rocks and sandy beach. So many visual textures. I can imagine this being a great place for a beach day, family picnic or even a casual wedding. Parking is abundant, coastline is abundant; I’m not sure about toilets (I didn’t have to go..) but, this is absolutely going to be a place to visit all seasons of the year.
