“USA gym club is the BEST place to take your kid for gymnastics lessons/camp! My daughter Opal is 4 has been to a few different gymnastics lessons, but she started with USA gym club this summer for summer camp and I could see her motivation & confidence higher than it's ever been! When she gets home she would want to show me what she works on, and what she's working on. She loved the staff soo much! Special shout out to coach Joseph, coach Bri, & coach Isaac she always had wonderful things to say about you all! And how you guys are helping her to be a ' REAL GYMNASTICS GIRL' every day she asks if she has camp and was bummed she had to end camp early due to her school. I am sooo great full to all the staff for encouraging opal to not give up! And making gymnastics fun for her! Can't wait to sign her up for more classes with you guys! & we also really love the front desk lady! She is always such a joy to chat with! I can go on about this place!!! They are literally the best! -Opal & Leila”

“Lance Coffel is the premier Kettlebell instructor in the State of Oregon. Lance is a certified StrongFirst Senior Instructor and has over 50 years experience in the fitness industry as a professional trainer. If you doubt this guys credentials go to his website Stronger U and check out his bio, it's amazing. I learned kettlebell at Gearhart Workout from Roz, but have taken a few classes from Lance (her teacher) at his studio in Portland. Lance is a master of his craft and it shows when you take his class.”

“This gorgeous, oasis of a studio in the Alameda neighborhood, is simply divine. Lauren and all her instructors teach customized private and group classes at a reasonable rate. From sign up to Shavasana, the whole process was easy, thoughtful and well-done. Lauren and her staff are excellent at supporting each person with their yoga goals; from relaxation and restoration to an intense workout! Lauren's focus on anatomy and alignment is well balanced with strong knowledge of yoga technique. I've practiced yoga for years, and she is, far and away my favorite teacher in Portland. Thanks Lauren and The Alameda Yoga Studio for your ongoing work in our community!”

“Went in for an athletic massage with Kristen. It was by far the best massage I’ve ever gotten. With many other masseuses I’ve always had to guide them with pressure or where I’m most tense— that was not the case here. I would recommend Kristen if you’re wanting someone that is strong and has knowledge around muscles and pressure points. 10/10”

“The gym is great and all, but I miss having a pool on campus. Trying to get all the way to the park and then pay to use the public pool is a hassle when I remember that I used to be able to just walk to Howard Hall to swim. I get that Howard Hall had to go. I also understand that it may have appeared as though few people used the pool at Howard Hall so it would have been wasteful to build one with the new rec center. However, the one in Howard was pretty small, over chlorinated, and required walking past the weight lifters on the way between the locker room and the pool - a new one with fewer issues would have been used in a regular basis.”

“PNWP is the best Pilates studio I have found in Portland. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and are able to customize to individual needs, postures or help with rehab or injuries. I took Pilates for years before coming here to go through the Certification Training, and it really made me see the difference in the quality of Instructors out there. The quality of instruction you will get here is top notch! If you want to learn how to do Pilates properly to reap the most benefit, the instructors here will help you get there.”

“In the very first session, Becky taught me how to hold my pelvis in neutral and exercises that I could do to keep my core strong. My posture changed quickly and I found myself walking more upright, with more swing. I highly recommend Becky's pilates training.”

“PDXstrength is the best! The community is so welcoming and modifications are readily available so everyone can have an accessible and challenging workout and still be successful, no matter what their level. There’s none of the weird bro-y culture or overly competitive vibes and no talk of restrictive diet culture like in other gyms. Just a truly friendly community that supports each other to do our best (maybe with some talk of reality tv or best local restaurants thrown in). Since becoming a member I’m the most consistent I’ve ever been in working out, because I actually ENJOY going. Thank you Jocelyn & coaches for all you do!”

“We love Creative Roots! My 11 year old daughter started in the "Girls Empowerment Group" and she completely enjoys her time there doing art, yoga, and having meaningful conversations with her peers. Shortly after she started, my 8 year old son joined the "Boys Empowerment Group" and he absolutely has a blast in the class as well! Both kids have enjoyed meeting other kiddos their age, but from outside their normal "school group". They always want to go early...and always hide when I come to pick them up. :-) Monique is amazing and has a wonderful way with the children. She is gentle and full of knowledge and compassion. Both of my kids completely adore her (and I do too!). ”

“What can I say that hasn’t been said so far! This is the BEST TRAINER IN PORTLAND! Tony has created training environment that breeds greatness! I’ve known Tony since he started in the back room of The Day Theatre (SE Foster). He's built a beautiful gym and strength community like no other! He’s taught me what it takes to be great trainer and hone my craft. He’s an amazing mentor that will test your will, critical thinking, and character. Tony will teach you why you are training and it will transform your whole life! He did mine! He was the first to hand me a barbell and I NEVER looked back! I am forever grateful. He’s a true master of his craft and will out work EVERYONE!”
