“A small corner of Portland's Hoyt Arboretum, the Winter Garden has a collection of plants and trees that are particularly showy in winter. Without leaves to block the view, the Corkscrew Filbert's twisting branches are easy to see if you know where to look. One of the parks largest Western Red Cedar trees dominates this section. Other interesting trees include the Torch Maple, that shoots its blood-red trunk from the ground, especially dramatic when it snows.”

“One of my favorite parks in town. Mini nature walk, children’s playground, an off-leash dog area and a soccer/baseball field. As a mom of a toddler I’m specifically interested in toddler friendly playground. My little one loves it here. It has a little sand box area and someone had a left a few toy trucks so the children can play with. I think that was my little ones favorite thing. Seems like a safe area/neighborhood , not in a busy street. We take public transportation and this park was not too far from Bus#75 ,just a few blocks.”

“The people here are just excellent! They should be the example that all other businesses follow in all honesty. My wife and I brought our dog here that we eventually had to put down because he was so sick and the entire staff was so helpful and understanding through the process that it showed they really cared for our pet and our feelings. Every procedure suggested was followed by how much it cost so there were absolutely no financial surprises. The doctors gave their best recommendations and thoroughly explained how each procedure would affect my dog too. The whole staff took the time to be patient with my wife and I through our tears. I cannot explain how nice this was. It is a heartwarming feeling when people treat you like people. Overall, there is no question, I would definitely come back here again. Thank you for helping us through a very difficult time MedVet.”

“As a landscaping designer and builder in California I love gardens and I know a thing or two. Everywhere we go with my family we visit different kinds of gardens. I have not seen anything like this. “They are very friendly, forthright, efficient, and offer fantastic deals on all that they offer. Parking is limited as it is located in a house near the end of a dead end street. You can tell as soon as you pull up, that these folks know their plants. Make sure to catch them in the spring time for their most impressive faire.”

“Beautiful Lil slice of nature, so contained in a 6 block city park. Half is covered by water, giving a great view for watching birds, frogs, rabbits and a bunch of other critters. You don't know what's on the inside of this place until you venture in and see it yourself. It truly is beautiful.”

“Being new again to Oregon I am having the pleasure of visiting local places for the first time. This place really hasn't changed and with any luck it won't. Oregon River parks are always wonderful places to go. They are very unique to this side of the country. I lov watching the boat traffic ahead and the planes behind. Great place for the soul.”
