“This school is amazing. The focus on community, science, and the dying topic of civics makes its curriculum and inner culture rich. It is a small school where all of the kids from K-8 are encouraged to teach and work with kids in other classes and of other ages, creating an environment that blurs the age/grade divisions prevalent in other schools. My kinder adores 'his' 8th grader and looks forward to the days she gets to hang out, to read to him, or they do activities together. Grades take field trips together and work together on certain tasks and lessons, while then receiving grade specific lessons seperately. The entire structure promotes multi-tiered and multi-faceted approaches to learning and education that I haven't seen elsewhere. I have been really amazed by every one who works there - from the educators to the school aides and everyone in the office. The curriculums are well developed and promote and integrate empathy, diversity, and critical thinking. Families and parents are very involved (and are an important part of how the school functions). I can't say enough about CSCS.”

“Love this school, by far one of the best experiences that i have ever had in a learning environment. The teachers and staff really care about you and they want to see you grow and also grow spiritually. I felt like i was apart of a family that really cared about each other and would do anything for each other. Plus the academics are very helpful and really set you up for success. I recently moved and started in the public school system and City Christian really gave me the necessary tools to succeed.”

“Holly Farms was an incredible place for our son to grow and thrive in, I cannot recommend her enough. She is the kind of teacher you remember and visit when you grow up and we will always appreciate the years she spent loving our kiddo.”

“Elizabeth officiated one of the most magical days of our entire lives. 🏳️🌈 Her voice carried grounding, care and the warmth of her presence. She was extremely easy to communicate with and work with. Her personality is friendly and incredibly approachable and she made our ceremony feel entirely our own. 10/10!”

“Each week my piano lessons with Norm are fun. He’s a great teacher. As an adult beginner, I've been doing lessons 2 years and my progress is good. I'm learning to read music faster than I expected. Each week we work on new songs as well as review my favorites. Norm is so knowledgeable about all aspects of music. He really enjoys teaching. I’m always relaxed at the lessons, and we progress at a comfortable rate. There’s always something new to learn, new songs in different styles, blues improvisation, playing by ear. I really enjoy it all.”

“I picked up my guitar again during the pandemic after years of minimal playing and no progress. Eventually I felt as though I needed more than just YouTube videos to really learn music theory and add more context to what I had been teaching myself. Samantha and Amber are not only amazing teachers, but fantastic musicians who are knowledgeable and eager to support their students musical growth. They have encouraged me to challenge myself by learning songs in a wide range of musical styles, educating me on practice ideas to improve my technique and they even provide opportunities to perform.”

“The teachers are amazing at this school. They are great at informing parents about what kids need help on and are falling behind on. The staff are fast at relaying information two parents and family members on events. The bus drivers are sweet as could be and care for the children like they are their own.”

“Our children started at DDDC during the covid-19 pandemic. Prior to that our children, ages 15 months and 3-years-old, had been at home full time. Initially we were a bit nervous to transition them, especially during the pandemic. These past two years have flown by! The teachers and staff at DDDC have become an extension of our family. Our children are happy, loved and learning new things constantly!! Best decision ever.”

“When I was pregnant, I knew I would be going back to work 12 weeks after my son was born. The very thought of leaving my sweet, tiny baby with strangers was almost unbearable. My husband and I did a lot of research on local day cares and made a lot of phone calls - we were pretty surprised by the lack of professionalism demonstrated by some of the places we reached out to. GGL was AMAZING right off the bat, and made my heart feel so at ease. The owners, Kelli and Melissa, are so professional and personable, and they treat everyone like family. I was tear-free(!) when I went back to work because I knew my son was in such great hands with Therese & Irena, the wonderfully caring teachers in the infant room. He's been there for 3 months now and absolutely loves it. We are so grateful we found GGL - it's a great environment that is the perfect balance of relaxed, yet structured, and full of happy kiddos.”

“Jeffrey is a skilled guitarist and instructor. I highly recommend his services. He has the ability to see things quickly and he adapts his teaching to a students individual preference. For example, while he is schooled and skilled in theory he rolled with my desire to play chords and sing. Always willing to record guitar tracks of songs I'm learning which helps tremendously. His Allowing me to follow my passion made practicing easy and I'm coming full circle in realizing how important the fundamentals are.”

“If you haven't considered a Montessori education for your child, you should look into it as soon as possible and send your child here! It is amazing how much independence they will learn and how much they will flourish. The toddler community at PDXMC is warm, friendly, and filled with smiling children. The primary community is vibrant and involved, with generous opportunities for your child to learn and develop into their own amazing little person. Their commitment to being a green daycare and to providing healthy food for the children is only further proof of why your child should attend PDXMC. Employee turnover is low, the children play out of doors every day, and the hours are reasonable, if not lengthy. No daycare will ever be perfect, but PDXMC is simply great.”

“The school Is located in a rather nice spot, right in between a neighborhood it has a covert feel to it. The playground got a downsize in awesomeness in 2004, from a nice big wooden jungle Jim to a small cheap plastic hut style play set, as the years pass, the school keeps taking fun things and unique structures out. In 2007 I beleive that's when they added the annoying bark dust everyone hates(used to be little pebals, not sand but still good enough). Other then that I love the school, it has 2 very big nice open fields great for soccor or football. The school is very calm and quiet, attracts the well bit reserved folk of its past youth and the younger gen who seek efficient chilling zones. Best and most optimal place to chill with other gangsters or thugs rats. I recommend it, -Surge S”
